Id like to know how can I install this software which is written in Go. It's my first time that I download a software from git. Should I download the zip or can I copy the repository.
I will appreciate a procedure to manage this kind of software.

The Ubuntu Software doesn't show the installed softwares:
Today I installed also sudo apt install gnome-software and it showed installed softwares. After I checked if there was updates for Ubuntu, I installed them and, after the reboot, also gnome-software doesn't show installed softwares.
How could I get the installed softwares list in Ubuntu Software or in Software (i.e. gnome-software)?
EDIT1: if I install a new software from Ubuntu Software, I can see it in Installed window, but, after reboot, it disappears.
EDIT2: I don't want to use terminal.
I'm looking for a way to add a character at beginning and at the end of each line of a txt file. The file contains a list of http addresses and I'd like to add the character " without any space, at the beginning and at the end of each address.
I'm looking for a way (anything it's ok) to set compact view on Ubuntu 20.04; the important thing is that the other options I set in Nautilus remain unchanged.
The above question is different from this because is not only related to nautilus.
EDIT: example in the below screenshot. Morevorer, when I right click on a region where there aren't names, the menù (new folder...) opens, not the menu of the file which is on the left of the area where I clicked.
My question is similar to this, but it is about ubuntu 20.04. Is there a way to view the full name of a file/folder on the desktop by clicking on it?
I'd like to know if there is a way to minimize all windows by clicking on a random part of the desktop (if the desktop is not completely hidden by the windows).
I downloaded the repository of allegro 4.4 from here, but i have no idea how to install it on ubuntu. I looked for tutorials, but i didn't find them. Could you tell me how to install it please?
Maybe there is a more confortable way to install it as for example writing a single command in the terminal (in this case the software should be downloaded from terminal)?
Thank you for your help.
Whenever I open a single folder and if I click on the Nautilus icon in the dock, it doesn't minimize it. Is there a way to do this?
I'd like to create a desktop shortcut of a folder by using Ctrl+Shift+M; the problem is that this key-combination works in the folders, but not on the desktop. How can I fix it?
I'm looking for a shortcut to access the file properties for files on my desktop. The official website says that the shortcut is for this is Alt+Enter, but it doesn't work because this key combination has the same effect as just pressing Enter.
The shortcut works if the file/folder is inside a folder, but it doesn't work if the file/folder is on the desktop.
Thank you for your time.
I'm trying to install the package "intelligent text completition 3.8" for gedit by following this guide:
The problem is that I didn't find the box Intelligent Text Completition in Edit->Preferences->Plugins. Can you tell me how can I overcome this problem please?
EDIT: after I installed the gedit-plugins, the available options are the following:
EDIT 2: I tried with the command ls -lR ~/.local/share/gedit (idem for ls -alR ~/.local/share/gedit), but the terminal shows me the message "No such file or directory". The strange thing is that I created manually the folders gedit and plugins in the folder .gnome (see the below figure).
Thank you in advance.
I'm wondering where I can find the file manager's preferences on Ubuntu 19.10.
I tried to open the file manager and to click on the arrow near File at top left; I found only the options: Home, New Folder, Show Details, Esc.
I'm trying to installi Ubuntu 19.10 by following these steps:
"The Partition table format in use on your disks normally requires you to create a separate partition for boot loader code. This partition should be marked for use as a Reserved BIOS boot area and should be at least 1MB in size..."
Online I read that this error is due to the fact that I didn't use [UEFI:...] as first choice in the BIOS' boot, but, as I said, the [UEFI:...] option does not work.
Can you help me to overcome these stressful problems please?
EDIT
Premises: (i) if secure boot is enabled, I cannot enable launch CSM; (ii) when launch CSM is enabled, there is also the option launch PSE OpROM policy.
The trials I did are the following (notations: sb=secure boot; fb=fast boot; CSM=launch CSM; PXE=launch PSE OpROM policy; e=enabled; d=disabled):
Thank you for your time.
