I have been using AbiWord for the last few months working on a major project. I have gotten very far in my writing, but yesterday as soon as I pressed save my computer died. I did not think of it as a big deal until today I tried to open the file and it says "error unable to import [file name]". I downloaded a new software to open the file, and it opened, but the text is reading "##########". Is there anyway to open this file without losing all of the hard work I have spent months doing?
Abiword - hyperlinks all displaying with blue, underlined font.
I would like to change this so all hyperlinks display with a particular font of my choosing. How do I do it?
- Ubuntu 18.04.2 LTS
- Abiword 3.0.2
I have a vps with LEMP provided by digitalocean and when I am attempting to convert any pdf file to doc file I always get this error:
Unable to init server: Could not connect: Connection refused
** (abiword:2048): WARNING **: 17:08:51.861: clutter failed 0, get a life.
Unable to init server: Could not connect: Connection refused
No DISPLAY: this may not be what you want.
I used this command:
abiword --to=doc file.pdf
And even when I type abiword
alone I get the same error
Of course I don't have GUI on my vps, so maybe this is an issue?
When I write a document in Abiword and then print it to a file my hyperlinks get lost.
It seems that LibreOffice can export PDF with hyperlinks. When I opened my document that I created with Abiword the hyperlinks where included in the text, but kind of not activated. When I clicked on the text to add a hyperlink that I thought was missing it was already there, but was not beeing exported to the PDF and also not shown with underscore in LibreOffice.
Maybe the problem is how Abiword saves the hyperlinks in its text.
I downloaded AbiWord 3.0.1. When I begin writing or reading a document, the borders of the document starts flashing ceaselessly. I've tried uninstalling AbiWord and installing it again, with no success. What should I do in order to fix this problem?
Help much appreciated. Thank you.
