I'm running Kubuntu 20.04. I want to print a png file using gwenview. That ought to be trivial; I'd expect that after issuing the command gwenview file-to-view, print would be among the options on the menu. But it isn't. So how an I print this file?

Much of the problem may be due to the fact that the program doesn't seem to start with the correct main menu. The correct starting menu menu has File as its first alternative; the menu I get does not have File at all. That suggests that gwenview not starting with the right entry point. I've encountered that phenomenon before.

This is what one might expect after starting gwenview on a subsequent screen. It should not be the opening screen.

I have installed Gwenview 20.04.0 from snap on Ubuntu 20.04.

When printing, the only option is print to file, PDF.

Is there any way to configure Gwenview to print to the system printer?

Also, the default paper size is A4. Is there any way to change the default to 'letter'?

A web search has so far failed to uncover any answers to these questions.

Gwenview takes a lot of time (sometimes 15+ seconds to load a 4 mb jpg file) to load an image from a directory where there are lot of images. This is probably because it tries to load all the images in the background, as after loading one, I can view all other images (by clicking arrow keys) without any lag. When there is only one image file in a directory, it loads very quickly.

Is there any way to tell Gwenview to only load the image it was asked to?

I'm using Gwenview that comes with Kubuntu 19.04 and it doesn't appear to have the option to not show videos anymore. (Videos play when browsing images using the arrow keys)

This was present in the toolbar which seems to have been removed in the latest release.

Is there some other way of disabling playing videos in gwenview like a configuration file?
