Following this answer: https://askubuntu.com/a/320333/719469, I added Google to my GNOME accounts but when I click on my Drive account id in Nautilus, it does not show any file and in the bottom right corner it keeps on loading till 5-7 minutes.

I tried adding a new file when the loading process finally stopped, it synced and uploaded perfectly.

But when I navigate to a different directory after a few minutes (not immediately) and again try opening the drive directory, it starts the super slow loading process again

I know this can be overcome be working on a different Nautilus tab or window while keeping the Drive open. But it is really inconvenient to wait so much if I close that tab/window by mistake or reboot my PC.

Please note that I am using Ubuntu 18.04 and have a fast, working internet connection but am still experiencing this. I currently have around 2.5 GB data on my Drive, is it normal to experience a waiting time of 5-7 minutes for each time I open the directory or is there any workaround?

In order to set up Livepatch on Ubuntu 18.04, one needs to have a Ubuntu One account. Clearly this choice has privacy implications, and possibly also security ones (for instance, in theory, Canonical could choose to deploy malicious patches to one specific user only, and this would go undetected to the public).

Is the choice to require users to create an account purely a commercial choice, or is there a technical reason why an online account is needed, or more practical, to deploy these security patches? Is there anything in the Livepatch technology that could not be accomplished using purely .deb repositories?

I am trying to setup an online account that connects to my companies office365 but i'm getting the error: "Cannot fins WebDAV endpoint". I can normally connect and login to the account via browser. Do i need to install an additional connector to do this?

I am using Ubuntu GNOME 14.04. I integrated my Google account with it. But every time I login GNOME asks for my google account password. But when I give it, it simply wont accept it! I am 100% sure I am typing the right password for my google account(It doesn't have 2 step verification at present. I was using it before but not now.) Since it didn't work I tried my login password but that too didn't work. Then I removed integration for that account from "Online Accounts" then removed all my cache and tried integrating again. It integrates, but again, if I type in my password when asked for, the same issue persists. Here is a screen shot:

I tried following this answer partly(I deleted goa-1.0 but not evolution since it would delete my evolution configuration which I want!) But deleting goa-1.0 didn't let me integrate my google account at all and so it doesn't work!(I recreated goa-1.0 and now I can reintegrate my account but the password issue persists).

So now my question is: How do I integrate my google account with my Ubuntu GNOME without any such issues as explained above?

PS:- Should I be doing something with seahorse here? I dunno how it works and all and so if I have to use it, tell me what to do elaborately.

As with anything that wants my passwords I want to know about the how safe it is to use the gnome-online-accounts [g-o-a] feature (and how it can be exploited). I'm only interested in the Google part of it since that is all that is available at the moment.

I want to understand if it stores my password in any way - I get the impression it uses some kind of token authentication but I don't understand this. Is it possible to steal a password (or similar?) from my computer through g-o-a?

All the documentation that I have found is far too complex for a normal person to understand.
