I am using Kubuntu 18.04 with KDE Plasma as a desktop environment.

After I login to a desktop sessio, the first thing that pops up is the password dialog of kwallet. One of the passwords it stores is that for a Nextcloud instance.

If I just login and then do not enter the kwalltet password for some time (a few minutes), the owncloud desktop client refuses to wait anymore and pops up a password dialog of its own. The problem is, that from that point there is no turning back to it using kwallet after it ha become opened. I cannot enter the nextcloud password (it's an app password) and if I cancel it it logs me out of my account and I have to tediously reconnect it.

Is there some way around this?

I have installed ownCloud desktop sync client in Kubuntu 18.04 and it works properly. In other words, when I add or delete files/directories in my ownCloud directory, the changes will also be reflected in the server and other devices. Now I am looking for this package that enables me to share files directly from Dolphin, without having to access the web interface. I have found a relevant question in the following link:

However, I do not understand how to actually install such a package. Another link suggests that the package name is owncloud-client-dolphin. However, I could not find such a package. I could only find the following package that might be related:

Unfortunately, I don't know how to install this package. Is there a simple way to install this package (if it is the right package to install) in Kubuntu?

The ownCloud documentation mentions a command line client owncloudcmd which is supposed to be installed as part of the ownCloud Client package.

I have the owncloud-client package from the official repositories installed on Ubuntu 18.04 (version 2.4.1). The GUI client works but I cannot find this owncloudcmd executable.

Does anybody know why the Ubuntu package doesn't contain owncloudcmd, and how I can install it?

The password of the of Owncloud client is not saved and the user is prompted to enter its owncloud password at each opening of the session.

The message "No keychain service available" is displayed.

It seems there is no correct integration of the owncloud client with the gome-keyring system (Seahorse) in Gnome 3...

Before upgrading from 16.04 to 17.04 the following command line worked. Now it crashes:
