OpenSUSE documentation (https://en.opensuse.org/SDB:Live_USB_stick) explicitly states that unetbootin wont work. They recommend using ImageWriter, but I haven't found a version for Ubuntu.
How can I create a bootable USB stick for OpenSUSE from Ubuntu?
I am interested to make a clean install of Lubuntu Core with the mini.iso from a USB Stick. I am not interested to create a Live USB.
I've done my best to add from "Other" button form the Startup Disk Creator the mini.iso but doesn't appear anything like in here https://help.ubuntu.com/community/In...n/FromUSBStick
I've tried also..
sudo chmod a+r "location"/mini.iso
usb-creator-gtk -i "location"/mini.iso
And when the Startup Disk Creator opens, the mini.iso still not appears.

I don't think that the old partition is Encrypted, when I installed Lubuntu I remember that I chose not to encrypt it... if this could be important for you. But better if you know exactly how to check it to be sure.

UNetbootin is not detecting a mounted USB, the image below shows.
When creating a boot-able USB or LiveUSB with Startup Disk creator in Ubuntu 12.04, the following error message appears:
Installation Failed
An uncaught exception was raised: Invalid version string 'GNU/LINUX'
What does this mean? Is there a fix for this?
I try to test natty alpha with usb. (my system is 10.04) But when I run disk creator I can not choose the option for persistent creation. Here on screenshots I saw that this is possible. Choosing the second option "Burn your CD or create a USB drive"

When I create live usb without persistent options I can not activate my nvidia drivers and 3D support for unity because after restart settings are lost.
