I have a disk with a Ubuntu 20.04 partition and a 18.04 partition. If I update the 18.04 one to 20.04 I will have problems in grub?

I'm trying to lauch an lxd container, but I get this:
lxc launch ubuntu:16.04
A criar o contentor
Error: Failed container creation: LXD doesn't have a uid/gid allocation. In this mode, only privileged containers are supported
I get this (relevant part) with cat /var/log/lxd/lxd.log
lvl=info msg="LXD 3.0.2 is starting in normal mode" path=/var/lib/lxd t=2018-11-10T13:42:30+0000

Any ideas on how to solve this problem?
If my program want's to write into /home/user/.local/myapp/somefile, do I have to put home plug in a snapcraft.yaml file or will it write there anyway?
It's not a classic snap, so will the user have to connect after installing the snap?
I know snaps can be installed from the Ubuntu software. I'm just wondering if there's a way one can install a snap by double-clicking the file, and if there isn't if someone has tried implementing this and if not, why not.
I want to get a list of all packages installed by default in a snap. When trying to find dependencies of a program to create a snap I want to know if certain packages are or are not already in the snap core. It would be nice if this could be done from command line. Ideally I should get a list of installed packages on a default snap but also on a particular snap so I could grep it.
Im'm trying to install this:
by doing sudo gem install travis
but I get this error:

How do I remove what I installed and install it correctly?
I have a couple of files made with Xara extreme (.xar) and I want to open them on Ubuntu 15.10 but Xara exteme is not available anymore on the repositories.
How do I open this files?
I'm currently working with Atom, and sometimes I want to open a terminal on the directory my working file is. To do this, I usually have to open the folder in nautilus (right clicking the file in atom) and then I open a terminal on that directory from nautilus (right click).
I wonder if there is a way to open the terminal in the file directory without having to open nautilus first.
While trying to build and run a project, ubuntu-sdk says:
Starting /usr/bin/autopilot3-sandbox-run... E: Xephyr executable not found. Please install Xephyr /usr/bin/autopilot3-sandbox-run exited with code 1
I can't find that package on the repositories. Any ideas on how to solve this?
Can I erase all partitions on my computer, including EFI, and install only Ubuntu? Will the BIOS work in this case?
I'm currently in legacy mode and Ubuntu boots from an USB key.
When I run minitube from terminal I get:
No available API keys

Is there a way to fix this?
I just installed ardesia on ubunty 15.04, and I can draw on screen but I can't see any icons in the sidebar, most notably I don't know how to exit the program. I had to stop it using top.
Does anyone knows how to fix the icons in the sidebar? Does the ardesia has shortcut keys? Is there any other program like ardesia which works better on Ubuntu?
I like PyCharm, but it doesn't have a GUI designer. I like the quickly package but I don't want to use Gedit as my editor. I tryed Ubuntu SDK but it's kind of hard to use python on it, and it's not Gtk. What I need is something like a MonoDenvelop for Python, with a pycharm look.
Does this exist? Is there anything similar to this?
I want to make fresh coffee with Ubuntu, using open/free software, a coffee machine and a wireless connection. What software can I use that is already available, and what hardware do I need to connect/operate a coffee machine at distance using that software?
By coffee machine, at this point, I mean a simple water boiler.
More specifically all that would be needed is a device that could turn on the power of a simple coffee maker, how would I go about controlling something like this from Ubuntu?
I want to install indicator-weather
in ubuntu 14.10, since to me is the best aproach to a weather applet, but it's not on repositories and even if you add the ppa, there is no utopic version.
- How do I install it?
- What similar alternatives exist if I can't install it?
I have a labtec usb webcam. It works well with cheese. It doesn't work with firefox hello.

I want to have data communication between two Ubuntu computers using wireless without the need of internet. I want them to transmit and receive wirelessly but I want to build my own communication process. Is there any tool/lib that allows me to control the wireless card? I want to have data communication, but I would like to define how and what data is transmuted between the two computers.
For now I would be glad with simple answers to:
- How to connect two Ubuntu computers wirelessly without using the Internet
- How to control data sent through a wireless card
I want to use python or java, but any answer will help.
I've tried three other posts about how to install drivers for
The problem is I've tried installing all the drivers suggested, one by one, test them, remove them, install another and until now the one which is working best is nouveau, but It also freezes the screen on random actions, most notably when I start Firefox.
If you have this card installed and working well please tell us what driver/distribution/configuration you are using. Thank you.

While using chromium normally, some URL's cause my computer to go black screen. Computer works fine but cant see anything. Can change to console using Ctrl+Alt+F1 but still black screen (I think the screen is shut down). I had to reboot using Ctrl+Alt+Del. Is this a chromium bug? The URL's in question seem to have some sort of animation. This is one of them:

If you have some information on this bug or know how to fix it, please say something.
Thank You.
