My Ubuntu 20.04 server has started complaining:

Some things are still working fine, but it seems as soon as a process needs stuff in /proc
(e.g. /proc/swaps
or /proc/locks
) then that process locks up.
z3fold_alloc
makes me think it is running out of memory. For memory tight conditions the server runs:
echo 1 > /sys/module/zswap/parameters/enabled
echo z3fold > /sys/module/zswap/parameters/zpool
echo 50 > /sys/module/zswap/parameters/max_pool_percent
echo zstd > /sys/module/zswap/parameters/compressor
echo 2 > /proc/sys/vm/overcommit_memory
echo 100 > /proc/sys/vm/overcommit_ratio
But there is plenty of memory available:
$ free -g
total used free shared buff/cache available
Mem: 503 243 67 16 192 240
Swap: 296 261 34
Is there any way to avoid a reboot? E.g. kicking CPU#53 offline?
