I have recently started working with a museum (UK) who's 1-year-old Cisco wifi setup has been experiencing connectivity issues from day 1.
Essentially a significant proportion of devices (both in-house and personal) are unable to connect to wifi - user selects an SSID, enters correct password, authenticates and instantly the connection is dropped. This effects some laptops, phones and tablets, but oddly some others connect and stay connected perfectly well - both "remembered" and new connections, doesn't seem device age or brand related. Interestingly apple iThings seem to suffer less issues.
The APs are Cisco Aironet 2802i, there are 14 throughout the building, connected to a council-owned controller (To which I don't have admin access, but the admin can't find any config issues)
So I need to do some client-side investigation, and want to capture exactly what happens during the connection/authentication and subsequent drop process. What is a good way to do this on both windows and android ?
