There were a handful of mice bought before I got here and they've had bad issues with random clicks, movements, and pauses. They've also had some issues getting them synced. They're using 27MHz RF.
So, I could use Bluetooth, but there's already a preponderance of headsets running around. What are the chances we'll get interference with them?

In a situation where an admin will enter sensitive information into a keyboard (the root password), what is the risk that a bluetooth keyboard (ship by default with Mac systems these days) would put those passwords at risk?
Another way of asking would be: what security and encryption protocols are used, if any, to establish a bluetooth connection between a keyboard and host system?

We're about to switch our phone infrastructure to IP. New phones are on the way and we just realized 1) Headset support is expensive (Wired or Wireless), 2) The phones we HAVE TO get (for a completely different reason) supports bluetooth.
Seven or more people will have Bluetooth capability on their new phones (Nortel 1140E). Most are within 10 feet from each other ('next-to' cubicles in a semi-circle), and in the center we have an Aruba Access point (802.11a/b/g) serving clients within a 30-40' radius.
Has any of you had experience with this? Do you have good recommendation(s) for minimizing interference? Do you have an opinion on the best bluetooth headset to support this kind of setup?
I have a bluetooth headphones that can be used in both A2DP and in SCO mode. Under Windows, I can activate both profiles simultaneously and I can listen to high quality music but when Skype rings, I can answer it right away.
Although I can use those headphones in Ubuntu, I have to connect them in either A2DP or SCO mode but not both and can't find a way to switch the mode on the fly which driving me insane. I can either listen to the music or I can use Skype and there's no procedure which will take under a minute to switch a profile.
Am I missing something there? Is there a way to use my headphones in Ubuntu like I do so in Windows or at least switch those profiles in the mid air without crashing music player and, more importantly, Skype?
