is this possible to park a subdomain on the main domain without enabling wildcard subdomains?

i want to make a mobile version for my site on a new subdomain but i want using the same code on my main domain

i read about CNAME record but i cant understand that CNAME records could help

i created a CNAME record with name of app for my domain goldshikmall.com

I'm trying to set up a domain parking service, similar to Sedo, where you can simply point your domain to my nameservers and my landing page will be displayed.

What I've done:

1. I set up a Digital Ocean droplet to host my website/landing page, using the Node.js quickstart configuration. This site can be found on https://www.parkedforgood.com.
2. Then I followed this tutorial for creating vanity nameservers, and created ns1/ns2/ns3.parkedforgood.com.
3. I created my glue records on NameCheap pointing to the DO nameserver IPs.
4. Then I tried to park my first domain, http://coolpatterns.net, by pointing it to ns1/ns2/ns3.parkedforgood.com.

However, the domain I parked is throwing an error: DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN

Is something set up incorrectly or am I just mistaken as to how this is supposed to work.

I've registered stevenslockandkey.com for a client, through mydomain.com, set nameservers to ns1.mydomain.com and ns2.mydomain.com, and set A records for * and stevenslockandkey.com to point to 185.3.95.226. On 185.3.95.226, I have a simple page set up, and if I edit my laptop's /etc/hosts to point stevenslockandkey.com to 185.3.95.226, it displays more or less what I want it to. However, without munging /etc/hosts the only thing I've seen is a domain.com (not mydomain.com) parking page. I've tried waiting a few days to let updates propagate, but updates do not seem to be propagating the way I want.

What do I need to do so that stevenslockandkey.com points to 185.3.95.226 and displays what you will get if you edit /etc/hosts to point stevenslockandkey.com to 185.3.95.226 ?

I have run into a problem which is that my web host doesn't appear offer addon domains.

I currently have a domain name pointing to my name servers.

I went into cPanel to add an addon domain that points to a sub-directory, but all that is available in cPanel is to park domain at the document root which is 'public_html/'.

So traffic coming from the parked domain would get the wrong content, which is obviously not good.

I get the feeling that this isn't possible, but can I change the parked domain document root from 'public_html/' to 'public_html/sub-directory' ?

Or perhaps can I edit the .htaccess file to redirect traffic from the parked domain to the sub-directory?

Basically I want this address; www.parked-domain.com/

To show the content of this sub-directory; www.first-domain.com/parked-directory

I hope this is possible otherwise I need to look at a new web host.

When I do

doesntexist.example.com

It shows a parking page rather than just not resolving (that's what I want). Is there anyway to stop name.com from redirecting my domains like that?
