I have HP ElitePad 900's and Acer Iconia W510's which are not allowed to boot linux. Is there a way to boot them in network using grub2, ipxe, ... to detect them being Atom get a menu to redirect them to WinPE by default while booting other devices to my existing drbl clonezilla server?

My main goal is to get one server to provide all kinds of boot options (with the focus on disk imaging so most importantly Clonezilla Live & WinPE with automated DISM).

I'm just wondering if anybody hads ever hit this problem.

I'm usng DRBL Clonezilla on Centos 6. When I go to image the lab it boots the os from the server via PXE boot and everything seems to be working fine, but then it will freeze at 0% complete when attempting to deploy the image.

I've tested this on a single machine with the number of clients to wait for being 1 and also with the time to wait being 2 minutes, and it will sit there for hours at 0%

I've never hit a problem before where the server is able to communicate with the machine and boot the OS, but still have a problem deploying the image?

I have a DRBL server installed.

When the PXE boot statrs, the DRBL menu has 3 options 1. DRBL Load 2. Local OS if exists 3. Memory test.

The first option fires after 5 seconds, however, I would like to change it, so the default option will be the: Local OS. This is to prevent of users loading a DRBL OS by mistake.

How can I do that please?

I have a Ubuntu 11.04 (amd64) PC with DRBL server on it. I set it to provide Clonezilla in partition restore mode. Client PCs do boot in PXE and DRBL menu is shown but the Clonezilla menu item won't work at all - nothing happens except a little screen flickering. At the same time, netinstall mode appears to work just fine, as well as memtest and local boot options.

Same goes for physical PCs. Neither automatic nor manual Clonezilla boot proceed. What's wrong with my setup?

I want to install Clonezilla-Server(192.168.1.100) in a network that already have a DHCP Server (dd-wrt with dnsmasq - 192.168.1.1). I've installed Clonezilla-SE on ubuntu Server 10.10, once installed and configured Clonezilla Server i've removed the DHCP-Server and set pxe server address in dnsmasq configuration on DHCP Server :

dhcp-boot=pxelinux.0,,192.168.1.100

When i try to start from PXE a Computer in the network clonezilla start, but give me an error that the ipddress of the machine is not given by the clonezilla server and can't continue ... Someone has already tried to configure Clonezilla-SE in a similar enviroment?

Is there some configuration on DRBL server of Clonezilla that i need to do ?
