We have a SharePoint Installation (MOSS, IIS 7.0, Windows Authentication, Windows 2008) and Google Analytics has been installed to track site usage. The site is an intranet site, and all users are authenticated before gaining access.

Is there any way in Google Analytics to track user information so we can see details of the login names of who is accessing content?

I use Google Analytics today to notify me of big traffic spikes. In my case, a big traffic spike is typically due to a link from a prominent website.

Google Analytics includes a new "Intelligence" feature to report on spikes. Unfortunately, today it only reports that I had a spike, but doesn't report the referring site; instead it reports the geographic region of the traffic, e.g. "California."

This isn't a very useful dimension to report on, because geography is almost never the cause of the traffic spike; it's almost always due to a referring site.

Is there a way to configure Google Analytics Intelligence to report on the cause (the referring site) of traffic spikes?

I run a website that has published its RSS feed at a given location for years. However, I'm now forced to move the feed to another URL. Let's say the original URL was www.example.com/rss.xml and the new address is feeds.example.com/example.

I see from google webmaster tools that there's lots of activity picking up feeds from the existing URL.

I understand that HTTP-correct way of signalling a move to the feed fetcher is for the HTTP header on www.example.com/rss.xml to send a response code 301 "Moved Permanently" and the target URL.

With existing constraints on the site, I can't do this right now. Is there a way I can tell google reader about the redirection? Say through google site tools or maybe some other way?

I have a site set up with Google Analytics (GA). I'm looking to find out what URL visitors are going to most frequently when leaving the site.

I know how to get the exit URL in the site itself that is the last place they are, but is the external URL they are going to tracked in GA? Does the browser even tell the page being moved away from what the next URL it is going to? If not, I assume Google determines exit pages from not seeing any more hits from that particular user.
