i am trying to make a project ive been working on called SnowBall and im using phpBB to do that but on step 2 the requirements and at the end it says

I am trying to figure out what kind of hardware I need to run a phpBB 3 server for a fairly large community. When I say hardware, I mean CPU, RAM, and IO specs. When I say fairly large community, I mean a community of about 30,000 people that averages, let's say, 1,000 posts per day, with about 100 users active per day.
I have seen people discussing having 1 GB RAM for a phpBB 2 community of 5,000 users, but that is, of course, a bit old. Any ideas?
I did a cPanel move of a Joomla 1.5 website and a PHPBB3 forum from one server to another, and when the DNS changes kicked in all I see is a blank page. The administrator panel works without any problems whatsoever. cPanel works. Website and forum (which is separate from the website) are both blank.
I have then manually downloaded and then uploaded all files (didn't move the databases manually), and some files wouldn't upload because of 555 file permissions. I changed the permissions to 777 temporarily to overwrite the file with the manually uploaded one. So all files are now the same as they were on the old server.
Even when I turn the Site Debugging on, the screen is blank.
There is no hidden index.html or default.html file which could be causing the problem.
The entire account was moved with cPanel so it's the same on the old server and the new server. The hosting provider reports no problems. The DNS changes kicked in two days ago.
PHP is working, as this link works: http://oklade.net/findpath.php
In configuration.php, there is nothing specifically pointing to the old site.

I have inherited a PhpBB3 installation from an uncontactable previous admin who didn't leave me the password, or any mechanism to retrieve it.
It runs on a MySQL database, which I have logged into with full privileges in order to change the admin password. Unfortunately, PhpBB3 apparently uses a complex multistage salted hashing technique that I'm not familiar with. Given full access to the DB, how do I generate a valid password hash to replace the old one with?
I tried a simple MD5 of the known password of a normal user, and it doesn't match the DB entry.
Any other way to reset the admin password via the DB is also helpful, as long as it works!
I have mysql installed on my web server, which I am accessing using PHPMyAdmin. My client asked me following:
I have installed PhpBB successfully but hwo to do the 2nd one. I am using PhpMyAdmin to access mysql database, and I don't see any scheduling type of facility in phpmyadmin as well as in phpbb.
What should I do here? Please help me, Thanks!
