Questions[programsandfeatures](server)

We have an application, lets call it 'App A', that when you run it checks the registry to see if another app, lets call it 'App B', is installed. It does this by searching HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall for any entry with a DisplayName equal to 'App B'.

Now, App A doesn't actually need App B to run correctly and we've lost the ability to install App B on our systems. So my question is...

Are there any consequences to creating a registry entry at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\App A with the appropriate display name? I think this could be accomplished with a *.reg file containing the following...

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\App 1]
"DisplayName"="App 1"

I tried to execute this command in powershell

Uninstall-WindowsFeature -Name FS-SMB1 -Remove

but encountered error message

Uninstall-WindowsFeature: The request to add or remove features on the specified server failed. Removal of one or more roles, role services, or features failed. The referenced assembly could not be found. Error: 0x80073701

I executed this command

Get-WindowsFeature -Name FS-SMB1

and the output is

Display Name                                Name                Install State
-------------                               ------              ---------------
[X] SMB 1.0/CIFS File Sharing Support       FS-SMB1             Installed

Please help.. I am using Windows Server 2016

I'm trying to figure out how (and if it is possible) I can set the Last Used On value for a program in Programs and Features manually.

Specifically, it's the red field in the image below. I've tried copying the format of the Installed On column as it is presented in the registry but that didn't set any value at all. I'm testing with Google Chrome if that makes any difference.
