I have a local postgresql database for development purposes that I dont want to start up every time Windows does - how do I stop it from starting!
I need to login to a remote Win7 or Vista computer but when I connect I get a Logon Message "Another user is currently logged on..." but it does not specify who.
I have a domain username with admin privileges on the computer, how can I see who is logged in?
What is the best way to format a USB drive with FAT32 (for Mac compatibility) from within Windows 7/Vista?
I ask because the Disk Management only lets you pick exFAT (because the disk is over 32 GB I believe).
Doing it from the command line with diskpart doesn't seem to work either.
I have two Ricoh printers/copiers setup for IP printing in the office.
Before this week there were no problems printing to them.
Now a handful of them (All running Vista, not sure if it is every Vista computer or not, It seems like I would hear more from users if that was the case), see both printers as being offline. All the PC's running XP have no problems printing. When this first occurred a reboot was able to get the printer to appear online, but that is no longer the case. (and at the time I thought only one computer was having the issue) I have removed the printers, reinstalled the latest drivers and there is no change on the Vista machines. I am currently using the same version of a RPCS driver on both VISTA and XP. As a work around I could setup the printers on a 2003 Server, but I don't see why IP printing should just stop working out of the blue like this. The printer can be reached by IP from all computers and the web interface is accessible and reports no errors.
Does anyone have any ideas?
I would like to move the default location of my c:\Users\USERNAME to another drive. What is the easiest way to do this and how?
I know that I can move each of my "Special Folders" like Documents, Pictures, etc. but that does not include the AppData folder. Also, many programs and installers incorrectly put stuff in C:\Users\USERNAME\Documents etc. even after I moved Documents to another drive and I end up with duplicate folders.
