Questions[inspircd](server)

On Ubuntu 20.04 I've installed InspIRCd (which seems to work fine as-is) and added to its config:

According to Wireshark the client sends PASS 123456 and NICK aklimov, but the server kicks me out (w/ "nice try"). Even more strange: according to Wireshark (-f port 389) there's no LDAP traffic at all.

We're trying to move our team chat from Skype to a private IRC server (InspIRCd) and we need to require some sort of authentication to prevent public access. I know we could have a global server password but that doesn't allow us to control who has access and obviously doesn't scale well (team member leaves, etc).

Are there any modules for Inspircd which support multi-user authentication?

I have a new Inspircd server setup for some gaming clans and I want to use a Comodo InstantSSL cert for the GnuTLS connections.

I noticed that in the config files you can point to the certs so it should work but what I am confused about is what I tell Comodo for the type of server when doing the setup? with Zimbra I used Tomcat, for my Apache setup I used Apache but what about Inspircd?

I looked for information/guides but did not find much on the subject.

I am running Inspircd 1.2.
