I administer a 3 stooges environment. Linux server hardware, Windows Server VMs, Mac clients.

My Mac clients RDC to a Windows 2008R2, each client has their own USB printer. The USB printer is forwarded to the RDC server. Currently we have a mix of printers and headaches all over the place. I'm wondering if anyone out there has a similar Windows/Apple mix and what printer they have running locally.

Alternatively, my suggestion was to purchase ultra cheap network printers and install directly to the Windows Server 2008. The environment is a store, sales reps have customers sit in a cozy environment and each rep wants their own printer.

Recommendations?

I have noticed that all of a sudden my RDC Connection Bar and the RDC Console (mstsc dialog) are appearing like their equivalent UI of Windows Server 2008.

I am on Win XP and here is what I see when I run the mstsc command:
mstsc dialog in xp

The connection bar that should appear like below is appearing like the one in Windows Server 2008enter image description here

When I connect to a remote server, I see the Server 2008 connection bar which is all blue and stylish:

Any clues, why I got bumped up to this?

I'm logging into a Windows 2003 system from a Windows 7 workstation using Remote Desktop. I'm aiming to try and copy some files to the server from the client. In the 'local resources' section of the RDC, I've got all the drives ticked so it should be sharing those drives with the remote server.

However, when I log in, none of these shares get mapped, and if I navigate to \\tsclient, I just get a blank listing.

What's wrong here? What do I need to enable to allow this functionality to work?

I would like to use all my monitors for the remote session (an option in RDC dialogue) if I connect (from Windows 7) to the one server with Windows 2008 R2 it works OK (I have remote connection on my all monitors) when do I connect to the another machine with Windows 7 it just wound not use all my monitors, but just one (full screen mode).

What do I missing here? Some setting on the Windows 7 RDP server?

Basically my question is:
How to establish multimonitor RDC connection from Windows 7 to another Windows 7 running computer?
