we have this thick client application running on Oracle forms, using Oracle Application Server version 10.1.2.0.2 and the client side uses Oracle JInitiator: Version 1.3.1.22 on some of the machines, we find the jinitiator console dumping thousands of lines similar to these:

and so on, I searched all over the web, with the application vendor, with Oracle meta link and with microsoft knowledge base but with no luck.

the problem of such repeated message, is that it correlates with high heap memory consumption and slow performance of the application that ends eventually by a crash or a hang.

I hope someone can help us identifying the origin of such dump message

system specifications:

• Client PC is a Windows XP Service Pack 3
• Browsers used IE 6 and IE 7
• jInitator version 1.3.1.22
• Server App Server is AIX 5.3 running Oracle Forms over Oracle App Server (ias) version 10.1.2.0.2 connected to a Database Server on a different box

we are planning to migrate to Sun Java Plug-in soon, but until we go through change management and testing, we need to find a reason behind this problem

update this problem does not happen to my laptop, which is having the same jinitiator version. the only difference I can see is the availability of different JREs and JDKs since I have eclipse installed on this machine..

However, the JRE used by jinitator in both cases (my latop and the affected PCs) is the exact same one.

I did a dump system properties on the console and the result was almost the same between both terminals (good one and bad one) except for the user name. and some extra paths

We have a wireless authentication server (Windows 2003 SP2 with IAS). It is configured with a DigiCert certificate. The certificate chain looks like this:

Entrust.net Secure Server Certification Authority
  DigiCert High Assurance EV Root CA
    DigiCert High Assurance CA-3
      ourserver.ourdomain.com

When a Windows 7 client connects to the wireless for the first time, they get a warning about the certificate. It will look like this:

The server "ourserver.ourdomain.com" presented a valid certificate issued by "Entrust.net Secure Server Certification Authority", but "Entrust.net Secure Server Certification Authority" is not configured as a valid trust anchor for this profile.

That is not a big deal as it's supposed to be a one-off. But the root certificate it complains about is inconsistent. Half the time, they get this instead:

The server "ourserver.ourdomain.com" presented a valid certificate issued by "DigiCert High Assurance EV Root CA", but "DigiCert High Assurance EV Root CA" is not configured as a valid trust anchor for this profile.

The reason this is an issue is that it means the client is prompted a second time at some later point when they reconnect to the wireless network, where the connection seems to arbitrarily choose the "other" certificate in the chain as the missing anchor, rather than the first. The selection appears to be random.

To be clear, this has been reproduced where:

• 2 Windows 7 laptops are in the same physical location (on same AP).
• One, when initially configured, prompted with the Entrust root cert.
• The other, when initially configured, prompted with the EV root cert.
• Both were connecting to the same IAS server, which only has one certificate installed.

Any ideas as to the cause of this inconsistency, and how I can stop it?

I've just installed a fresh copy of NPS on a new 2008 R2 Std server. When I go to add a Radius client, I get "NPS Error: The service being accessed is licensed for a particular number of connections. No more connections can be made to the service at this time because there are already as many connections as the service can accept. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80070573)".

What do I do? This is the first Radius client I am installing (and the first change to the vanilla NPS since running the role installation wizard) so obviously I have not hit the 50 client max.

I need to configure some Cisco switches (IOS 12.x) to authenticate against a RADIUS server; the server is Windows Server 2003's IAS, and it validates users against his Active Directory domain.

I know how to configure the switches to validate usernames/passwords against the RADIUS server, and I can succesfully login using an AD account; the question is: how can I set privilege level 15 for users, in order to not have to use enable each time?

I cannot get WPA2 enterprise to work on my network. I will give you an overview of the current setup.

Windows Domain, using IAS and its own CA

I setup the AP to use WPA2-Enterprise Mixed using RADIUS I setup and registered IAS on the domain controller. I added the AP as a client with and have tried using both RADIUS Standard and Cisco as the RADIUS type.

I configured the IAS policy to grant access to Domain Computers, Authentication is set to PEAP and uses a private cert issued by our CA, the other profile settings are all default.

The client settings on the laptop match the IAS settings and the certificate is definately installed. WPA2 is supported as i can connect to WPA2 personal APs. I have tried multiple laptops.

During the connection it flashes that it "connected" for a second then goes to "Validating Identity" which it eventually timesout on. I am using the Windows Wireless Connection Manager.

Any help would be very appreciated!
