I have this aws account i am using to host some apps. I have an acer laptop which has chrome os and a desktop computer which has windows os.

When i login to the aws console on chrome os, it shows me one instance running. I thought it was a simple error but i did refresh on chrome os and still displayed once instance running.

In reality i have two micro instances and one large instance running,so 3 instances are running.

On windows,i login to the console using firefox and three instances show up.

This is correct on windows.

Has anyone experienced this difference on chrome os and on windows os?.

I am trying to open port 5432 on ubuntu using ufw using sudo ufw allow 5432/tcp

I then use nmap to see if port 5432 was opened and i get this:

1xx.xxx.xxx.xxx is the ip of my server.

I am trying to connect to postgres remotely.I have followed this tutorial http://www.cyberciti.biz/faq/howto-fedora-linux-install-postgresql-server/ and have executed the following commands to see if the remote access is possible.

EDIT: I have removed centos and installed ubuntu and postgres 8.4

This is a fresh install and i have not altered the files(postgres.conf and pg_hba.conf) in any way.What do i need to change.
