So there are several similar questions on serverfault ... but the solution is still eluding me.

I am running subversion on Ubuntu 9.04 .. through apache2.2.x ....

I get

Commit failed (details follow):

Can't make directory '/home/kirb/svn/dav/activities.d': Permission denied

when I attempt to commit.

It is definitely a permissions issue... but how to fix it is still eluding me.

My repository is in /home/kirb/svn.

SVN Commit Error says to chgrp .. but I don't seem to be able to. All the apache DAV stuff seems to be working though. I can access my repository just fine through a browser.

Apologies if i am missing something simple here.

additional edit: I am not able to sudo chgrp on the directory at all

When i place ojdbc5.jar in the c8\webapps\p2pd\WEB-INF\lib directory... i receive the error below. And yes the content store is on an oracle 11g RAC database. I am running Oracle11g Client. Cognos version is 8.3 SP4.

[Content Manager database connection] 1. [ ERROR ] The database connection failed. 2. [ ERROR ] Content Manager failed to start because it could not load driver "oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver".

I am running VMware workstation 7 - hosting a linux machine. From this virtual linux machine i can ping all other machines on my network except the machine thats hosting it.

All other machines on the network cannot ping the host machine either.

All other machine on the network cannot ping the virtual machine as well.

VMWARE setting?

Network setting on host machine?

Machine A - Other windows PC

Machine B - VM Host Machine

Machine C - VM Guest Machine

• A cannot ping B or C
• B cannot ping A or C
• C can ping A
• C cannot ping B
• A,B,and C have access to the internet and have seperate IP addresses.

Yes i have tried ip addresses instead of machine names.

Virtual Machine Network adapter is set to "Bridged"... but not "Replicate physical network connection state".

i have a bat file im trying to schedule every morning.

whilst in the Scheduled Task Wizard... when i click on finish... i get a ...

The new task could not be created. The specific error is: 0x8007005: Access is denied. Try using the Task page Browse button to locate the application

I have attempted using both a domain account that is an administrator on the box... and a local account that is an administrator on the box.

On another machine ... i have managed to get this work.. but cannot figure out the difference in configuration. It is using the domain account to run the bat file.
