We are implementing SSH restrictions by restricting by MAC address in iptables.

Without the MAC address restrictions, using an app like iSSH, it's easy to access my server on the go to check on it's health or logs. I can add my key to the app so I can log in using key based authentication.

My phone's WiFi has a MAC address I can add.

But do the 3G/4G/LTE adapters have a MAC address?

Otherwise, I believe my only solutions, if I want to access my server on mobile, are to not restrict by MAC address or only access my server on mobile when I'm connected to WiFi.

I've followed these steps to install Samba on my CentOS package. However, when I try to run chkconfig --level 345 nmb on, I get a nmb: unrecognized service error.

I tried service nmb status and service nmb restart with the same error message returning.

There doesn't seem to be anything regarding this, what's wrong? Why do I not have nmb installed, and how can I get it installed?

I've been trying to understand exactly how Heartbeat works - I understand how when one server dies, it switches to the backup. But, for me, it also switches when the primary has a large increase in workload. But, it doesn't always switch at the same value. There doesn't seem to much information on the web about how it works. The best I've found is this article.

How does Heartbeat determine when to switch to the secondary, and how does it determine when it switch back to the primary? Is this an editable setting, and can I force it to switch between one and the other? Sometimes when Heartbeat will switch to the secondary, it takes a few days or I've even seen two weeks before it switches back to the primary. This is well after the primary traffic has gone down.

I'm currently using BlueOnyx, and my Heartbeat settings are:

Auto Failback: on
Keepalive: 1 seconds
Warntime: 10 seconds
Deadtime: 20 seconds
Initdead: 30 seconds 

I am running a live stream using Adobe Flash Media Server 4.5, running on a Amazon Web Services EC2 server.

I know that there are at least 5 active connections, but when I log into the FMS server admin console, it only tells me that there is one.

What options do I have configured wrong?

I'm looking on Adobe Flash Media Server webiste, under Instance Types

For each type of instance, it lists the "Simultaneous connections".

If the instance I want lists "1000 RTMFP", does that mean that I can only have a maximum of 1000 people viewing my live stream at one time?* What happens to person #1001 if there are already 1000 people watching? Or, does RTMFP mean something else?

I am using Amazon Web Services and Amazon Cloudfront to stream my event, which use FMS.

No one in the free support (or forums) at AWS and Adobe seems to know the answer.
