I'm using QNAP to backup to my DROPBOX account. It has the option to compress uploads in BZIP and requires you to decompress to use the files. However, I can't find any program that will decompress it correctly. It keeps all the filenames the same but compressed.

FILE.txt (QNAP) > FILE.txt (BZIP'd Dropbox)

In the notes

"Data is compressed using bzip. After compression, the data must be decompressed before it can be used."

Any ideas using windows to decompress? Or linux if need be...

Our 4xHDD QNAP stopped responding, booting, no beep exactly on 1/1/2021.

Could there be something with the timing, or could the hardware really have failed?

On one computer (windows 7) we get the following error when trying to move a file into a child folder which is contained on a network drive. We have tried Admin of Domain, Making the user admin, lowering IE permissions, and still, nothing works.

To Reproduce:

1. Open networked folder in Windows Explorer
2. Drag File in \EDI\test.txt to \EDI\Archive\
3. A message pops up "These files might be harmful to your computer".
4. Click OK and it moves.

I'm testing out the CloudFront CDN but noticed that it will load the complete site. Is there a way to only allow the CDN to serve request that start with /media/* ?

I created a seperate behavior but won't let me delete the default one.

The other option is to provide a 404 from the website. But I rather the CDN handle those request.

I just got a new remote server which came with Fedora 15. I first tried to run APF but it gave me this error "apf(18031): {glob} unable to load iptables module (ip_tables), aborting.". Which I then set SET_MONOKERN="0" to SET_MONOKERN="1" to resolve the problem.

However, with my config file showing

BLK_P2P_PORTS="1214,2323,4660_4678,6257,6699,6346,6347,6881_6889,6346,7778"

The ports show up as closed, instead of being filtered. Any idea why this would be happening?

I am trying to find out how to create ssh users that can work inside my sites directories but not have complete access except for the folders I specify.

The only issue is that I need the sub-users not to create privledge issues. It's like I want a site owner to act like root when it deals with anything in his site folder, created by him or the other workers.

Any suggestions on a stable solution?

I was hoping to get some expert advice on the best settings for apache.

Currently our site operates the following way.

1. User Request the page with low resolution images.
2. The page loads quickly and then javascript will lazy load.
3. Ajax is called to perform different functions.

Some pages might have 30 requests for that user.

The servers being used are

1. Dual Quad core Xeon Proc
2. 8gb ram
3. SSD HD
4. Mysql is used.
5. Redhat

I am running into a problem trying to specify that webmin can only be accessed from my private IP. But I can get the port ranges to correctly work. I am using this in the allow_hosts.rules file.

tcp:in:d=10000:s={IP HIDDEN}

udp:in:d=30000_35000:s={IP HIDDEN}

The error I get when having those settings are

The changes that make it work but allow from all IP's are.

So I tried to change my mysql root password for the first time using a advanced pattern and it looks like phpmyadmin stripped the password on save. Now I can't login under root.

I am using RHEL 5 and it seems that all the instructions I keep finding don't work.

When I run the following command. I get
