On our Windows Server 2019 is Open SSH Installed
Versions used/tested:

• OpenSSH_for_Windows_7.7p1, LibreSSL 2.6.5
• OpenSSH_for_Windows_8.1p1, LibreSSL 2.9.2

Logon to the Server with a local account (the account exists on the server) works well:
ssh user@host

Logon to the Server with a domain account (the account exists on the domain) is not possible:
ssh domain\\user@host
or
ssh user@domain@host

Message on the client is:
Connection reset by 10.70.108.76 port 22

Anybody an idea how to fix or at least debug this issue ???

I read guides about installing OpenSSH-Server :

On the Server I noticed these Logs
Server -> Event-Viewer -> Windows Logs -> Security :
Audit Failure
Failure Reason: Unknown user name or bad password

Server -> Event-Viewer -> Applications and Services logs > OpenSSH > Admin

sshd: fatal: ga_init, unable to resolve user domain\\user
sshd: error: get_user_token - unable to generate token on 2nd attempt for user domain\\user

Verbose output -vvv prints this message before disconnecting :

In installed SAP Hana according to How to install SAP Hana Express Edition 2.0 on Ubuntu 18.04 (Bionic Beaver) (issues have been commented in the blog above)

Following this I wanted to explore the XSA environment according to SAP HANA XS Advanced, explore the basic tools

Unfortunately I ran into a python error:

Anybody an idea or hint how to fix this?

At the moment I try to install HANA SPS 11 on top of SPS 9 (upgrade)

HANA was installed by a co-worker who is not with the company any more.

First I tried to do the Upgrade via Eclipse -> right click on System (Multitenant logged in as User System on System DB) -> Lifecycle Management -> System Lifecycle Management -> Check for SAP HANA Compoments Updates

Then I get the Message "Could not detect the installed components on system HDB." (not sure if HDB means HANA DB oder the tenant HDB)

As a result I tried to update from command line (via SSH). There seemded to be a problem with the lifecycle manager. So I checked and to my surprise there was no HANA lifecycle Manager installed.

Tried to install the lifecycle manager which complained that no Host Agent was installed. So I installed the latest Host Agent (7.21)

**Now the Installation of Lifecycle Manager aborts with a message that the patch level is too low! :

MinPatchNumberCheck.sh: The current SAP host agent patch number is 9. It has to be at least 153. Download the latest version of SAP Host Agent from SAP Service Marketplace and start hdbinst using the option --host_agent_package. It will be updated automatically.

How to fix the installation of the Livecycle Manager?

As stated in the headline our Domain Controller runs on Windows Server. This server is a Hyper-V Guest. The Hyper-V Host is joined to the Domain.

Unfortunately the Time on the Domain Controller is off by a couple of minutes. As a result all clients in our Domain have a wrong Windows Time.

How can this (time-synchronization) be fixed?

Our SAP HANA database consumes a lot of memory - even though we do not have much data in it.

After some research:

select top 100 * from M_CS_TABLES order by MEMORY_SIZE_IN_TOTAL desc

I figured out that the STATISTICS_ALERTS_BASE table has a size of over 20.000.000.000 (twenty billion)

How to reduce or clear this table?

EDIT:

If the table gets huge it can make the admin panel in SAP HANA really slow. If so then truncate the table fixes the issue!

I am trying to install SPS11 on top of SPS09 of SAP HANA

As stated in the documentation I tried in SAP HANA Studio:

Which results in the Error

Could not detect the installed components on system <db name>

Any suggestions?

Pls not also that the service HDB Deamon is in status initializing

SAP HANA was configured correct and SAP HANA Studio was connected to SAP HANA.

From one day to another SAP HANA is not reachable in the SAP HANA Studio.

The operational state is "Some services not started"

How to fix this?
(I have an systems operation account on the HANA server)

I installed Postfix & Dovecot on Debian.

Then I tried using SMTP authentication according to this guide:

Unfortunately the following test tails:

telnet localhost 25
auth plain <base64 encoded usernaem/password>

We get a "535 5.78 Error: authentication failed:"

in var/log/mail.warn we habe a new line which is: "warning: localhost[127.0.0.1]: SASL PLAIN authentication failed:"

unfortunately it does not say what is wrong. Any ideas?
