I have a Windows Server 2008 R2 OS where I just created a standard user account. I went into the Local Group Policy Editor and set the OS to only allow certain programs to be run. I figured that this change would apply to non-administrative accounts, but now my administrator account is locked out from opening any programs.

I cannot open the policy editor to revert this change, even if I right click > Run as Administrator. Any ideas on how to rollback this change?

Update: I swapped my power supplies in the back and everything started powering up, fans RPM was monentarily higher than idle, with a blue light on front. Then the amber came back for a moment, then back to blue. However my USB devices are not getting any power.

Disk 1 has a solid green light on. Any further ideas as to why external devices are not getting any power? No amber light on the power supplies or HDDs.

I have a Dell PowerEdge 1850 which I received recently for personal experiments. The warehouse assured me that the machine boots to the BIOS screen, but has no OS.

However, I tried plugging a VGA cable into the back, and then the front, and get no signal. I noticed the amber light is on for about 3 seconds after powering on the machine, and then stays off.

I know amber means there is a general problem, but I didn't know if a one 3 second blink on start up meant a more specific error.

What I have tried:

• Reseat the RAM
• Reseat the processors
• Reseat the HDDs
• Reboot alot
• Ensure both power cables are plugged in.
• Boot without any HDDs

What is wrong:

• Amber light once for three seconds on boot up, then never again
• No VGA from front or back
• Disks blink once, for a second, then off
• No beeps

Can anyone give me any insight into this issue?

I built and administer large web application which uses the PHPMailer library to send emails via a Google Apps Gmail account. I have received a support request stating that an individual was not receiving a password reclamation email that he had requested.

Looking into this issue, I logged into the Google Apps Gmail account which manages the sending of emails, and I noticed a huge gap in the list of sent emails. The system sends emails through out the day, every day, as users need them. However, yesterday at 1:15 PM, I received two emails which were rejected, and, since then, no emails have been transmitted until today at about 11:45 AM.

I have checked the status page and saw there was a small disruption around 2 - 4 this morning, but not for as long as I've had my problem.

There weren't any error logs generated by PHP regarding this issue, nor any from Google Apps. I also use a legitimate .com domain which does not have any history for spamming.

Any ideas on why this issue surfaced, then doesn't appear to be an issue now? I'd like to prevent something like this in the future, if I can.

I know that there are scads of articles on the web regarding remotely accessing phpMyAdmin, but none of the articles I see have worked (not even this).

I would like to configure Apache to allow access to phpMyAdmin when it comes from certain IP addresses. I know that I can set it up to allow worldwide access, but that is just asking for problems.

I try to access phpMyAdmin from a domain that I set up from No-Ip.com. The domain is configured to route to my development machine like so:

1. Make the request: example.no-ip.org:256/phpmyadmin
2. Forwarded to: <my_public_static_IP_address>:256/phpmyadmin
3. Router receives the request public request and forwards it to: <internal_IP_address>:80/phpmyadmin

In the end, I get a 403 Forbidden error. My server is configured for access online, as going to example.no-ip.org:256 will take you to my homepage (well, if that were actually my domain :D).

Again, just to be clear, the computer I am making the request from is also the Apache server.

Any ideas on what may be causing this?

I am writing a PHP script for a client which will be installed on a server which I do not have back-end access to. I only have access to a particular folder and database.

My script will upload files and create folders. However I get a permission denied error when I try run mkdir() and move_uploaded_file(). Here are the conditions:

Server running IIS 6 and PHP 5.1.2 (a bad, ancient mixture, I know) Folder where I try to make a directory and upload a file has 777 permissions Folder all the way up to the web root has 777 permissions File uploads are on Uploaded file is very small, within the upload_max_filesize range Any ideas on why this isn't working?
