I had to change the root password for MySQL on a server. Exim also uses MySQL for users etc.

I didn't think Exim/Dovecot used that password, but now things are not working well and I'm pretty sure they are related.

When I try to start Exim:

Starting exim: Error loading mysql.so: /usr/lib64/exim/4.72-6.6.amzn1/lookups/mysql.so: undefined symbol: mysql_servers
2014-09-13 19:13:22 Error loading lookup module mysql.so: NULL

Running service --status-all gives me

exim dead but subsys locked

I've checked for /eximdisable in /etc/, nothing there.

Disk space is 85% used, file handles 7% used.

If I have a license of SQL Server, can I install it on a normal Windows Amazon EC2?

Will data I save in an EC2's instance be saved if I turn it off and start it a day later?

Everyone using OCS2007 will be internal. We have no need for certificates. Is there a setting I can use to disable Certificates?

Everything was working fine in Communicator right up until the time I wanted to add another SIP domain. Now I am having trouble with the certificates for the secondary SIP domain.

How can I disable using Certs altogether?

Ok here is something we've struggled with since installing OCS 2007.

Our company's website is company.com

Our emails are [email protected]

When the Domain was set up internally for active directory, something else was chosen

Internal Domain: company.local

And thus in AD the account email is [email protected], not the same as their actual email address.

We installed Office Communicator Server 2007 and have the following FQDN for it:

server-dc.company.local

Users can sign in just fine using the [email protected] and talk to other coworkers.

What I'd like to do is take advantage of Presence, which looks like the email account in outlook needs to match the email account in AD.

Tell me, ServerFault community, is this possible, or does the Active Directory need to be modified in some way to make this work?

We are creating a web application that will be installed on a server and sold to a client, similar to a Google Mini Search appliance. We are looking at various ways to secure the server from being breached and the source of the application stays safe. The client will access this from a web interface, again like Google Mini.

Is there other ideas I am missing here to lock this down?

Hardware:

• No floppy disk, CD ROM, USB ports
• Chassis intrusion detection

Software:

• BIOS password Secret Windows password
• Certain parts of the source code is obfuscated

On one of our servers we have a file that keeps mysteriously getting deleted. What I'd like to do is have a program watch this file and let me know when/how/by whom it gets deleted. We have a backup of the file in question, so it's not much trouble to put it back, but it results in downtime on our websites.

Is there software that does this? Something free maybe? OS is Windows Server 2003 SP2 32 bit.

Any ideas why this is coming up?

We'd like to use the equivalent to UTF-8, but Can't seem to find the appropriate option within SQL Server 2005. Any thoughts on which we should use?
