So I am not even sure if this is possible but I figured this would be the best place to ask. I have a dovecot server that I use for receiving mail , the mail is stored in a Maildir format.
Is there a way for me to encrypt the mail so that if someone get access to the server they wont be able to read the mail ?
I am trying to find another logging application that will allow me to log to CouchDb.
I am currently using rsyslog which is fine for logging to a mysql but doesnt seem to want to allow me to log couchdb or even let me make calls to a external script that does the calls.
So I currently have a rsyslog server running on ubuntu that is inserting into a db , this is all fine but I want to do some processing before the insert , I have a script that can do the formatting me but im not sure how to i direct rsyslog to send it to the script.
I have a network that connects 2 households and would like to setup a simple VoIP server so that I can call between the houses.
It needs to be for Ubuntu, I have used the free 3CX system and while it works brilliantly it doesn't support Linux and I can get a windows box.
The users will never need to call external lines. They will only make 'calls' between laptops/PC.
Can someone please make a recommendation and maybe even a tutorial that I can follow?
I have a server that is setup with a squid proxy on ubuntu 9 and handles users browsing the net via squid, this is working perfectly for me.
Now a user on my network wants to use a application to connect to the net but the port the application uses is port 80. Since i dont want to allow them direct access to the internet how can i get the application to use the proxy server. Also will i need to modify the server in anyway.
