When accessing SQL Reporting Services Report Manager through Great Plains 2010, we're getting the following:

An error has occurred during report processing. (rsProcessingAborted) Get Online Help
Cannot create a connection to data source 'DataSourceGPCompany'. (rsErrorOpeningConnection) Get Online Help

It's not a GP issue, but rather a permission issue with SQL Reporting Services. We don't have IIS installed on that server. If we hit it using our domain admin, it works. All other users fail.

The strange thing is that the Reports vdir works find. It's just the webservice that is failing.

Before upgrading to Service Pack 1 of Exchange 2010, OWA worked fine. We were able to do everything with no issues. After the upgrade, we can no longer delete messages within OWA unless we open up the message and delete it using the delete button inside of the message window. The error we get is this:

We've searched online and only found several posts pointing us to rename or delete the web.config file in the inetpub directory.

Any ideas are greatly appreciated.

I've installed a brand new instance several times of Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010. However, each time I do so, I can't seem to find the database on the local machine. Am I missing something?

We have Exchange 2010 and a mix of Outlook 2003 and Outlook 2010 clients.

1. When Exchange Cached Mode is enabled, clients are receiving sync issues. In Outlook 2010, the sync issues are mainly with the Deleted Items. In Outlook 2003, they are mainly around the Offline Address Book.
2. When Exchange Cached Mode is disabled, the clients notice a 3 second delay in deleting email in list view within the Inbox.

Anyway that these two issues can be resolved? It's a big pain especially to the frustrated end users.

We are looking to get our Cisco Unity Connection 7 to store messages using Exchange Server 2010 Unified Messaging. Is anyone aware of any whitepaper/document/tutorial or other that they'd recommend we look into? We can't seem to find much. From what I here from our Cisco partner is that the connection works, but will be better in the next release.

Even though the log file shows that there is over 1 GB of free space, we start receiving an error message every 3 or 4 days saying that the TempDB file is full. I know cursors impact the TempDB file, but is there anything else I should be looking at to see why this keeps happening? I've tried running SQL Profiler, but when running it, it slowed down the DB so much that the users were experiencing timeouts. What specific items should I check for in SQL Profiler?

I still have a Windows Server 2003 domain. We'll be moving this to Server 2008 R2 in February. I know in 2006, Microsoft bought DesktopStandard and moved their PolicyMaker product into what's now known as the Group Policy Preferences. Is there anyway to still get PolicyMaker for Server 2003?

We have an issue where XP and Vista machines running IE8 (Win7 not affected) are having trouble accessing OWA 2003 when the Proxy is enabled. When the proxy is disabled, it works fine. Google and Bing are failing me as it seems like many are having the issue but there are few documented solutions. We already have the patch from 2006 for ActiveX installed and the server is up to date on all Windows Server 2003 and Exchange Server 2003 service packs, patches, and updates.

This question is probably quite subjective, but it's one that I'd like to know what others are doing.

In most organizations there comes a time when a team member is out of the office on vacation, sick, holiday, whatever. In some cases, their coworkers may need to access files stored on their machine (or in their My Documents which may/may not be on the network) or in their email.

How does your organization handle these cases? Do you:

1. Allow departments to share login information with each other. This would allow team members to access what they need when they need it.
2. Create a common email address or distribution group for critical email and enforce that users use the out of office assistant and direct customers to that address. All critical files would then be stored in network shares or a ticket would need to be placed with IT.
3. Something else
