I just followed the following tutorial

My exports file looks like

/storage/nfs/   192.168.2.13(rw,no_root_squash,async)

From what I understand, with rw, and no_root_squash, I should be able to write to the nfs from the client using my normal user, and all the files that my normal user writes will become owned by nobody:nogroup however, that does not seem to be the case, and I can only write to that directory if it is chmod 777 and the files are owned by my client normal user...

How can I get the files the client writes to that directory to be owned by nobody:nogroup and be able to write to that directory without it being chmod 777

Every page load I am being asked for my password twice... And I am not sure why...

Here is my directory definition

 <Directory "/var/www/html">
      AllowOverride All
      AuthUserFile /var/www/.htpasswd
      AuthName "Please Log In"
      AuthType Basic
      Require valid-user
 </Directory>

Any ideas on why I would be requested to enter my password for every page load? And why every page load is requesting my password twice?

I just ran

cat /opt/webapplications/Word/readme.log | grep -v 'Apple'

and I got the output on the cli that I was expecting, which was all the lines in readme.log that did not contain 'Apple'...

Next I ran...

cat /opt/webapplications/Word/readme.log | grep -v 'Apple' > /opt/webapplications/Word/readme.log

However, /opt/webapplications/Word/readme.log is blank.

Can anyone explain to me why this happened, or the correct way I should have gone about this?

For whatever reason, I have to re-assemble my RAID arrays on boot, I don't know why, and Ive banged my head against my desk over that issue to much already, so I put the RAID mdadm commands in /etc/rc.local along with a mount -a.

My current challenge is, that the Proxmox VMs fail to start because their images are on those RAID arrays, and they are not mounted when Proxmox tries to start the VMs.

I was hoping that the Proxmox startup-delay option would solve this, but apparently thats the delay before starting the next VM, which if the first one fails, it just tries to start the second one.

I could put a dummy VM on the drive that Proxmox boots from, and start that one first, but this is not ideal, I do not want dummy VMs running, it's a waste.

My question is, does anyone know how I can go about delaying Proxmox from starting the VMs for just a minute or two while the RAID arrays are re-assembled and mounted?
