Is there a way I can tell docker to only bind forwarded ports to IPv4 interfaces?

I have a machine running on Digital Ocean with IPv6 disabled:

When I launch a new docker container and ask it to port forward 8000 to 8000 in the container it does so only on IPv6 interfaces. Is there a way to make it only bind to IPv4 interfaces?

I'm running Ubuntu and I want to setup a VM in Virtualbox via Vagrant and Chef. I think what I'm missing is a .box for the Windows Server 2008 R2 x64 trial I have.

Does anyone know where I could find a .box? If not, how would I go about building a Vagrant .box for Windows Server 2008?

Hello,

I have a Dell R300 Ubuntu 9.10 box with 4GB of memory. All I'm running on there is haproxy, nagios and postfix yet there is ~2.7GB of memory being consumed. I've run ps and I can't get the sums to add up. Could anyone shed any light on where all the memory is being used?

I've setup HAProxy with the

option forwardfor

option so it'll pass on the user's IP to PHP via $_SERVER[ "HTTP_X_FORWARDED_FOR" ].

If the page request isn't a POST it's populated fine but if it is then it won't be populated. Any ideas where I've gone wrong?

In 2006 a company I was working with setup two load balancers to balance traffic between two web servers. We used ultra monkey to do so.

I'm hoping to do the same now.

My question:

• Would anyone recommend using ultra monkey to balance traffic between two linux boxes running apache?
• Are there other linux-based alternatives which have since proven to be better for this task?
• Would you still install debian sarge on a load balancer given it's age?

I have setup an SMTP server on port 10025. I wanted to test sending emails to it via the command line.

Is there a parameter I can give the mail command to use the smtp server on 10025?

echo hello | mail -s'testing' [email protected] ???

I do have a seperate smtp server running on port 25 as well but I don't want to be communicating with that one or switch it off.

I have a stats program which runs on log files via cron. The stats program can output HTML.

Right now I rely on the MAIL_TO mechanism in the crontab.

[email protected]
55 23 * * * /usr/bin/htmlstats

The problem is that I want the email sent to display as HTML and not as plain text.

Cron places the following header in the email:

Content-Type: text/plain; charset="UTF-8"

Any idea how I would change this to:

Content-Type: text/html; charset="UTF-8"
