I have two servers, both on domain, both Windows Server 2008 R2, to my eye almost identically configured.

Server1 allows to copy encrypted files to his network shares, Server2 gives error when trying to copy encrypted file: "You are copying the file to a destination that does not support encryption" (preferred action).

Both servers have registry entry NtfsDisableEncryption set to 0.

I've reviewed GPO and can't see anything related to EFS. Nor I recall setting.

Where I can find option responsible for this behaviour?

How/where I can find difference between those server that determines this behaviour?

Environment: Windows Server 2008 R2 fully patched, working as Domain Controller in Win 2003 native domain.

Users started to report problems with share, it turned out that server service won't start. I've scrambled google but can't find a thing.

Any ideas will be appreciated.

Service fails to start, then when starting service I get:

Windows could not start the Server service on SERVERNAME. 
Error 1079: The account specified for this service is different from the account specified for other services running in the same process. 

In System Event Log:

Event 7023
The Server service terminated with the following error: The account used is a server trust account. Use your global user account or local user account to access this server.

In my company almost every user has 3G mobile connection and many of them travel a lot.

To prevent expensive mobile charges I'm looking for a solution that would prevent particular program (Windows Updates, Dropbox, etc.) from using 3G/Mobile Broadband connection.

Ideally connection rules should be controlled globally (GPO, global admin portal or similar)

Any suggestions welcomed.

• I have few Windows 2008 R2 (no SP1) servers in remote offices, mostly in Domain Controller, and many of them have problems installing ANY printer drivers.

• following errors show up in Event Log when adding printer driver under Print and Document Services/Print Management/Print Services/ /Drivers OR trying any other way to install drivers:

EventID 215: Installing printer driver - failed, error code 0x57, HRESULT 0x80070057. See the event user data for context information.

EventID 215: Installing printer driver Canon iR C2380/2550 PCL6 failed, error code 0x0, HRESULT 0x80070057. See the event user data for context information.

• in this particular server case this is problem with Canon iRC 2380i printer with Canon Generic PCL6 Driver, but it seems to apply to any driver and any printer (tried different drivers, different versions, PCL, postscript, etc)

• I'm using 64 bit drivers that should be working on this platform.

Any help will be appreciated.
