How can i force nginx or php-fpm to throw the PHP Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by warning?

We're facing a weird issue with a freshly installed Xen (4.2) system.

The server is an Intel SR1690WB equipped with 4x1Tb HDD and with a RS2BL040 RAID card which configured to use RAID10.

The problem is that any newly spawned paravirtualized guest OS (Debian Squeeze) is working with very high load (70-80% use of CPU, mostly caused by events/0 or events/1) no matter what they're doing (serving a dynamic page, or just simply downloading an iso file).

Each guest configured to use 2 CPU cores and 4gb RAM.

Just hoping there's some misconfiguration on the Dom0, but what can cause these terrible loads?

Please let me know if i can clarify my question.

My mod_rewrite rules are working fine but sometimes similar errors showing up in my error logs:

File does not exist: /var/www/examplesite/exampleurl

Of course the requested directory doesn't exists, page properly served but my error logs growing.

What can cause these errors?

I have two different (i386 v AMD) Debian boxes and have the same problem. logrotate won't rotate my logs automatically. It works fine when i force it manually like

/usr/sbin/logrotate -f /etc/logrotate.conf

but it's not okay for me.

Settings wasn't modified (at least i didn't modified them), the AMD box is a fresh install yet won't do it's job.

If you have noticed a similar problem, please help me.

I'm in trouble, I have a running server with the usual services (httpd, mail, sql), and looks like I must be really fast to prevent total data loss (my RAID array failed, so I'm depending on a single hdd now).

The whole system built on HowtoForge's howto's and as I read the one on Squeeze, looks like I can easily? migrate my (virtual) users onto the new box.

I really know this is very specific problem but could you tell me some important point of the whole migrating process. Which things can be tricky where should I need to focus at most? How would you start the process?

Some background infos:

• The two server is 200kms far from each other, so the migrating should be happen over internet
• Both server will be Debian, the old one is Etch, the new will be Squeeze
• The critical service is mail, websites can be suspended for some time
• RAID means two disks in RAID 1 (both machine)
• The old box is the DNS1 for all hosted domains

My (really) basic outline:

• Building a similar system like the old one (similar virtual mail structure, passwords stored with the same encryption type, because i cannot tell the old ones)
• create one domain where i can check everything is fine (dns, email, www are okay)
• Migrate domain after domain until the old one is doing nothing

My blind spots:

• Can't find a brief description about how to do a RAID-1 on Squeeze (a Lenny howto will be enough?)
• How to copy specific folders (e.g. users' mail folders) with specific user rights when needed? (rsync will do this?)
• How to setup DNS on the new machine (old one is DNS1) (new machine should be DNS too and migrated domains should use itself as DNS1?)
• How can i prevent e-mail loss (because of DNS refresh time) (i need to set up the new machine as MX?)

One of my disks failed in my raid array:

When i tried to remove then re-add the drive the following happened:

mdadm: hot removed /dev/sda2
host:# mdadm /dev/md1 --add /dev/sda2
mdadm: add new device failed for /dev/sda2 as 2: Invalid argument

fdisk -l /dev/sda returns nothing.

Can you tell me what's happening now, especially because md0 looks fine. Tried to Google it but nothing interesting come up.

Update (just for verbatim), now md0is failed too:

This is totally server fault i think. :)

I have a site that disabled in Apache but server still serving it. I tried to stop/restart the server with no success. How can i debug this?

Config:

OS: Debian

Server: Apache2

Site disabled with a2dissite, config file removed automatically from sites-enabled.

I don't want to force anybody to make it on behalf of me but trust me: i've looked hundreds of sites and i can't find a good starting point for this.

I have 4x500Gb HDD's which i want to set up in RAID 10. The most promising description is here, but it's a little old and unclear for me, above all i prefer Debian over Ubuntu (i know there are slight or no differences).

Is it possible to build RAID 10 with Debian's installer or i need to build RAID 1 first in the installer then use mdadm later?

What is the best practice for building software RAID 10 under Linux (Debian)?

I'd like to build a Debian-based server that will take out our old Infrant ReadyNAS? I am somewhat familiar with Debian but as far as here my knowledge was limited to typical LAMP-needs.

My initial needs are:

• Software RAID10 (that's ok, i think)
• User Access/Level Control
• Must be available from any computer in our LAN (OS X, Windows, Linux equally)
• Speed gain over Infrant's solution

I'm afraid maybe the mixed environment can cause some problems (OS X especially). I've heard from FreeNAS but it's still not reached 1.0 which makes me insecure.

Is it possible to reach my goals with Debian or i am stuck with ReadyNAS?

I'm looking for a tool (not AB, or any stress-test) that can simply test my server's external (overseas) upload bandwidth. The machine's location is at Europe but i'd like to test my speed to America.

I don't like to provide an url because of unnecessary load but if no tool exists i'd be happy if someone can measure it for me.

EDIT: Some refinement. This is a Linux-based server and i don't like to install any 3rd party apps for this simple task if possible.

EDIT2: It would be helpful too if someone (from US) can pull an iso file from my server so i can determine my upload speed to that direction.
