I'm working on a Powershell script to create new virtual machines as part of a migration between a Hyper-V server running Hyper-V Server 2012R2 and a new Hyper-V server running Hyper-V Server 2019.

For the virtual machines that have one single virtual switch assigned to them, this script works fine, however, I have some virtual machines that have two switches. For those VM's, I get this message: Cannot convert 'System.Object[]' to the type 'System.String' required by parameter.

How would I go about adding the second switch?

I'm attempting to deploy Windows Server 2019 to a virtual machine and I keep getting this error message:

I suspect that the error is not actually at this stage, but I can't seem to track it down, and the SMSTS log is out of date.

Edit: Got the log, it looks like it's failing on trying to install the role outside of the OS, but in the task sequence, installing the role is in the post install group?

I am attempting to set the host name using a registry key, as I'm deploying a virtual machine and would like to have the host name set based on the guest VM's name. This is the script I'm using to set the host name:

Unfortunately, it fails to set the host name, using instead an autogenerated host name.

Question:

At what point does the registry become established during the task sequence?

I created this script to create multiple VM's remotely on the Hyper-V server, however, it doesn't seem to create the VM's. I can create one directly on the Hyper-V server using the given parameters while using Enter-PSSession, but not via invoke-command? (there are no error messages, it just prints a blank line and goes back to the prompt)
