I have access to a data node in a Hadoop cluster, and I'd like to find out the identity of the name nodes for the same cluster. Is there a way to do this?
Yuval's questions
I need to set the font on the XP command prompt on a few machines so that it would correctly display Hebrew file names. The default font displays a lot of gibberish, so I'm pretty sure changing it will do the trick. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
I have a file on NTFS that holds accumulated information that will take forever to recreate. I marked it as 'archive' and 'system', so that it would not be obvious to notice or mishandle, but what I really want is to put some kind of lock on it, so that deleting it would only be possible when providing a password or fulfilling some other condition.
Is there a tool that can help me? perhaps some hidden Windows feature?
I have a 500GB HD, partitioned into a few gigantic Windows NTFS partitions. The partitions are loaded with files, but I still have enough space and I want to install and try out linux.
Is there a way to 'slice a piece' off one of the partitions without formatting it?
