In the pfSense web interface, under Services -> Dynamic DNS -> Dynamic DNS Clients -> Edit, there is a checkbox labeled "Enable verbose logging", which the pfSense docs claims to "increase the logging for the Dynamic DNS update process"; however I can't find a tab for Dynamic DNS logs under Status -> System Logs, and the Services -> Dynamic DNS doesn't offer a button for "Related log entries" like other services do. Furthermore there doesn't seem to be a log file for Dynamic DNS under /var/logs.

What gives? Where can I access the logs for pfSense's dynamic DNS client?

I've been reading up on FreeNAS and RAID Z, and one of the things people kept mentioning is that you shouldn't use ZFS (or more specifically, RAID Z) on a machine without ECC RAM. I'm wondering what the reasoning behind this is. Is this an issue with RAID Z specifically? Is there any particularly heightened risk from not using ECC RAM with ZFS vs other file systems? Or is this just a general concern about corrupt memory spreading to a filesystem which would otherwise have corrected the error thanks to its support for self-healing redundant arrays?

I'm trying to create an init script for a web application I want to run on system start up. Looking through the skeleton script provided by my OS (/etc/init.d/skeleton), I saw this:

# PATH should only include /usr/* if it runs after the mountnfs.sh script
PATH=/sbin:/usr/sbin:/bin:/usr/bin

What does this mean? If I want /usr/bin included in the path, do I have to do something to ensure that mountnfs.sh gets run first?

And where is mountnfs.sh located? I don't see it in my init.d directory.
