I have a DB2 9.7 LUW instance with several databases. I am trying to take backup of a specific database, but Data Studio client reports that there is still an active connection so it fails.
How can I force the database to remove all active connections to that specific database? Thanks!
I'm trying to find the End of Service date for IBM DB2 9.7. I could only find some page that was from 2012, stating that it has not yet been announced. Thanks in advance.
I am using IBM DB2 9.7 LUW database. My current database configuration values for Circular logging is as follows:
LOGFILSIZ: 1024
LOGPRIMARY: 13
LOGSECONDARY: 15
I get error that transaction logs are full, therefore I need to increase the log size. I tried with the following:
LOGFILSIZ: 4000
LOGPRIMARY: 10
LOGSECONDARY: 20
I also restarted database. The LOGSECONDARY was changed to 20, but the LOGFILSIZ remained at 1024 and LOGPRIMARY remained at 13.
Am I changing the correct values for my problem, and why don't the values change even though I restarted the database?
I am running JBoss on both a physical machine, and a VM that runs within that same physical machine. The JBoss instance on physical machine is operating fast, but the JBoss on VM is slow (several orders of magniture). It appears that the following operations on the VM are slow: SVN checkout, big data streams (from database or external systems), hibernate calls. CPU and Memory % appears to be good on teh virtualization console.
I would therefore assume that the bottleneck is either 1) disk IO access, or 2) network. The disk that the VM uses resides on the same machine as the physical machine, and the VM is in the same network as the physical machien (ofcourse different IP).
Any ideas where I should begin to look at? Thanks
I am using RHEV and I have created two virtual machines. These have too little disk space, how can I edit the disk space of these machines? I cannot find the option anywhere.
