I'm migrating my old Squid (2.7 in Debian 7.8 to 3.1 in CentOS 6.6)

I need to send logs to a syslog server located into another machine

I added the following config to the new server

logformat S2combined %ts.%03tu %6tr %>a %Ss/%03Hs %<st %rm %ru %[un %Sh/%<A %mt "%{Referer}>h" "%{User-Agent}>h"
access_log /var/log/squid/access.log S2combined
access_log udp://192.168.4.63:514 S2combined

This config is working fine in old server, but in the new one, Squid won't start.

I ran squid with the -d 10 option, and it shows me this in stdout:

FATAL: Cannot open 'udp://192.168.4.63:514' for writing.
    The parent directory must be writeable by the
    user 'squid', which is the cache_effective_user
    set in squid.conf.

Do anyone have any clue? I had been checking squid cache configuration reference for squid 3.1 and this config seems to be OK

I have some problems with my freshly Spacewalk setup.

I have registered my test client, and installed osad service to avoid executing rhn_check.

But when I start osad service, I get the following error:

Spacewalk server have jabberd and osa-dispatcher running properly, and listening on port 5222/TCP

Also, I'm able to connect to Spacewalk's port 5222 via telnet from client machine.

Both machines have iptables disabled and SELinux in permissive mode.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm trying to get values from amavis in a CentOS 6.5 server.

This values, such as spam mail (total, total/h, percent), are supposed to be accesible via SNMP.

But, when I run snmpwal, I always get 0 as value (example):

All processess are up I googled for a while, but I didn't get any info Any idea will be appreciated

I've lost connection to several ESXi 5.5.

First, I saw they lost connection with vCenter (5.5 SLES Appliance). Then I tried to connect directly to the ESXi using the vSphere Client, and got Error 503 The server could not interpret the client's request (Error on remote server (503) Server not found.) If I try to connect via HTTPS, I get the 503 error, too.

I've restarted management agents several times (GUI and CLI), but this didn't help. After that I ran ~ # services.sh restart and got this:

Googled that error, and ran ~ # esxcfg-scsidevs -l, but it seems to be always ok in there. Took a look to resolv.conf and /etc/hosts, and they seem to be ok, too.

It's suspicious, if I run df -h, it takes a long long time (and never ends).

Any info will be very appreciated.

As sysadmin working in IT consulting, I have a lot of SSH PuTTY (managed by SuperPutty) sessions, and also, I have 2 computers, and a few virtual machines and a Terminal Server with Putty in which I have all these sessions.

Is there a way to synchronize all those putty sessions,or any SSH client that has this functionality?

I have a monitoring server, based on Nagios 3.2.3, installed via source code, and using GroundWork Monitor Architect for managing Nagios configurations.

My question is if possible (and how to) get a list of services that are not applying to any host, and a list of commands that are not being used by any service.

I need to get a full list of hosts and services from Nagios, to make a decision table.

I think there is two methods, querying the Nagios CGI, and parsing the Nagios cfg files.

But... Nagios cfg files may not be standard and this could be a problem.

Anyone knows how do that?

anyone knows how configure SugarCRM (standard IMAP I suppose) with Lotus Domino 8.5?

I have it configured, SMTP mail test works fine, but folders doesn't appear except INBOX (I'm using standard IMAP folder names). And when I try to open an e-mail then I get an Internal Server Error message.

I'm trying to monitor an iLO with this script:

Everything seems to be OK, but if I put the -l option (enables log check), it only shows the older event of de iLO log, how can I change the script to show only de newer event log?

I am monitoring a CentOS 6 machine with NTP service installed. The monitoring server is a CentOS 5 machine with Nagios and Centreon. I'm using NRPE for monitoring remote hosts, and I get the following error in two of four services that I configured:

NRPE: Unable to read output

I did check_nrpe -H (publicserverip) and everything seems to be OK. Also, I have configured the commands in nrpe.cfg
