I'm getting an error on multiple servers (on the same network) when using IE11 and navigating to the following site: https://wllearning.com.au

It produces the following two errors on page load:

The security certificate presented by this website has expired or is not yet valid.

The security certificate presented by this website was issued for a different website's address.

If I click to continue past the SSL error and view the certificate it seems to be for a completely different site "*.silverstripe.com.au".

Now for the strange part, it doesn't always return this, sometimes just refreshing the page will result in the correct cert.

It seems the issue ONLY occurs on IE, Chrome works fine. I did consider that it might be similar to the SNI issue listed on other server fault questions but an SNI issue requires multiple sites using one IP I believe, and a reverse DNS lookup shows only one site associated with the IP address.

Note that there is no proxy service on the network having the issue and DNS does report the correct IP address.

How can I further troubleshoot this issue?

I'm not able to PXE boot clients.

I get the following error: PXE-E55 ProxyDHCP Service did not reply to request on port 4011

This is a new setup of SCCM 2012 on Windows Server 2008 R2 (64-bit). SCCM itself seems to be working, I can run OS deployment tasks from within the OS if the system is running the agent and that all installs OK.

If I attempt to PXE boot to install I get the PXE-E55 error mentioned above.

Server Manager says that the WDS server is running correctly but I am not able to see ports 67, 68, 69, and 4011 as open, they are all closed. I have ensured that the Windows Firewall is off while I am troubleshooting but they are all still closed.

The weird thing is the ProxyDHCP error, I don't use DHCP option 60 as the DHCP and WDS/MDT/SCCM servers are two separate systems. Without options 60 enabled, it shouldn't be doing anything with ProxyDHCP?

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

I've been told that Windows Server 2008 and newer uses the BITS service to transfer files that are backed up to a UNC share (using Windows server backup/NTbackup) but I can't find any documentation to support this. Is this true? If so, is it the default or does it require additional configuration of the backup job to use the service?

We using vSphere 5 to host over a dozen virtual servers and all are Windows 2008 R2 or newer.

I'm experiencing a bad delay of a few seconds after a VM has been idle for a little while (may only be a few minutes). If I ping one of the virtual machines I get one response followed by time outs, after this it seems consistent until I leave the machine alone again.

I thought at first that the ESXi servers might just be running out of resources but they only ever really sit on a few hundred mhz and there's always at least 5-10 GB of RAM free. I've also tried setting reservations in the VM settings but that didn't seem to help either. Power saving settings for vSphere are set to balanced.

Services other than ICMP are also impacted by this delay.
