We made a project with Visual Studio 2010 and .NET 4.0 using Crystal Reports.
But if we publish it on the server, it won't work. I remember that with Visual Studio 2008 you just downloaded an installer for the server, but I can't seem to find one for this version.
Or am I missing something?
The server is running Windows Server 2008.
I have an application that takes a long time to open odbc connections (like 20 sec) also takes forever using arcmap and arcsde
but when I try the connection on the odbc data source administrator, it tests it really fast
Does anyone have any idea of what my be causing this?
btw the application works fine in another computer with another database

I installed the Informix Client SDK on my PC (32 bit) and on the server. I could create an ODBC connection on my PC easily, but on both Windows 2003 and 2008 (64 bit) I can't.
I don't know if there is a 64 bit SDK; maybe this is the issue. But I haven't found what to do.
I need to use ODBC since using the SDK by itself hangs IIS, and according to this post, the solution is to use ODBC.

I have an application that uses one web service asmx file per screen (like 50 screens), I didn't think this was a problem until we did tests.
I tried with IIS7 on windows 2008, it hanged. Since its new to me I changed it to IIS6 on windows 2003, the same thing happened
IIS 6 creates tons of w3mp.exe processes, each 55 MB, and reaches a point where the application is usless.
It has been used only by 10 people at the same time...
any thoughts?

I have little experience setting up an email server so I'm having a lot of dificulties right now.
A client from a political party wants to send a newsletter to 8000 people with a very limited budget (all legit, no spam so people wont mark it as spam), What I did was I set up a server with mail enable free edition with port 26, no-ip with a free domain, had bulkmailer instaled and sent tons of emails (most where to hotmail).
Some did arrive to private emails, but none to hotmail, gmail and yahoo mail (not even spam folder).
My guess as to why they dont work, is that its a dynamic ip and a free subdomain. I thought about just buying a domain, but I need to be sure.
So, anyone know what I should do or look into?

I'm currently working on a project that will need to protect sensitive data. I use servers on amazon and gigenet, but I'm not sure they are the most secure alternative.
The servers must be a .net applications server and a SQL Server.
BTW by security I mean protected from hackers.
Any suggestions?
update: if there is no data centers specialized in this kind of security, do you know any security firm that could assist me?

I tried creating another database and putting some tables there, but actually there is just 1 big table with almost 3 million rows, this table is using all the space, so separating tables is useless.
I though about migrating to MySQL, but the (former) programmer who used this database programmed it using SQL Server framework, and he sucked at it, so its a whole lot of code to change which I suppose it can be done but I don't have that much time.
I can't think of anything but to buy sql server, but I don't have that kind of money, I also thought of 'borrowing' it from a torrent or something like that, but my server is a dedicated server on gigenet and that would break the TOS.
