I'm attempting to integrate a touch panel into our secured environment. As such, the touchpanel requires that the user login via RSA SecurID. Unfortunately, there is no exposed keyboard for the user to type their credentials into the login prompt.
Is there any way to expose an onscreen keyboard (Windows or third-party) during the login prompt so my users can login to the touchpanel?
I'm attempting to setup a RSA authentication manager with a Microsoft Active Directory as the identity source. When I try to login from the Windows login client the login attempt failed and I recieve the message Unable to resolve principal by login ID and/or alias in the authentication monitor.
I am under the understanding that this error message is occuring because Authentication Manager cannot resolve the username CONTOSO\Operator to the username Operator.
Any suggestions how to resolve the problems mapping the active directory users to the Authentication Manager database? Is there a global alias mask like CONTOSO\*?
This is so weird I feel compelled to ask for advice.
I have a handful of workstations who are receiving time from a GPS timeclock. The PDC has the default domain policy set to use the GPS timeclock as the NTP timesource. All the workstations sync to the timeclock with precision ranging from 50ms to 1.5ms so my delta values are grossly within margins for Kerebos tickets.
Almost all the workstations access my fileserver with absolutely no problems, however a single workstation began prompting me with the message This server's clock is not synchronized with the primary domain controller's clock and unless w32tm /stripchart /computer:PDC is lying, 20ms is more than close enough to be synchronized.
Is there something I might be missing here?
I'm currently trying to route a 56k connection, which is connected to a PSTN off a microwave transmitter, through a laptop to some ethernet enabled equipment. Essentially I'm using a laptop as a router utilizing a persistant route until proper routing equipment can be flown in. I can connect, route, perform data transfer between my remote points, and the 33kbs is plenty enough bandwidth for my needs using the following route:
route add -p 192.168.2.0 mask 255.255.255.0 192.0.16.1 if 0x10004
However, if the modem is forced to redial the interface index on the 56k modem changes (0x10004 -> 0xa0004 -> 0xc0004 -> etc) and the route is invalidated.
If I don't specifiy the route, the route add fails with the message that the index is wrong or the gateway isn't on the same interface.
Is there any way to route the 56k connection independant of the interface index to my ethernet interface?
I am currently in the process of performing updates on a SQL Server. Our SQL Server contains two databases, lets call them \\smyqlserver\$database1 and \\mysqlserver\$database2.
I perform the first hotfix and the installer ends reporting successful installation. However, upon attemping the next hotfix in the sequence, it fails due to \\mysqlserver\$database1 possessing the correct version (4211) while reporting that \\mysqlserver\$database2 is still at the initial version (4035)
Wouldn't the hotfix update both instances at the same time?
