Most adhesive labels I've run across don't do so well when affixed to anything that puts off significant heat (rear of servers, external disks, some networking gear, ...).
Since manual application of an epoxy is not a solution that appeals to me, what off-the-shelf options are out there for heat-resistant labels? (Something that works in label-maker would be nice, but really I'll take anything at this point.)
Apologies, I'll simplify my question: Are there any degaussers or HDD shredders out there in the $500-1500 range designed for use as such that you would recommend for low-volume use?
I'm already pretty certain this is impossible, but it's at least the second time I've found myself in this situation and really wishing it could be done, so if for no other reason than to save others the time I've spent in the past looking at this...
I'm using a Cisco PIX 515E with fairly recent 8.0x software with an Unrestricted license and a single 4-port HWIC card.
I'm currently a little short on switch ports at the PIX's physical location, but only one of the HWIC ports is currently in use, and the servers I need to drop into the location won't have enough traffic to be concerned about.
That being the case, I'd really love to be able to bridge a couple of the unused ports onto one of my existing VLANs, but the PIX doesn't seem to like that idea at all:

Short of setting up a new VLAN and subnet and creating the appropriate rules to pass traffic (an unpleasant prospect in this case, not least because of a reliance on DHCP and other broadcast traffic), is there any way to accomplish what I'm after?
I'm putting together a proposal for a greenfield 10GigE network (including 10GigE uplinks to providers) while trying to be careful about budget.
One of the hardware configurations I'm evaluating that would be relatively inexpensive is a blade chassis with a 10GigE uplink module that gives me a set of 2 CX4 connectors + 1 SFP+ connector (there's no good way to substitute a fiber module in this configuration without exploding the budget).
While the SFP+ would be fine IF the datacenter supports SFP+ (which is still pretty new), CX4 obviously isn't going to work for uplinks to providers, and we'll need more than one 10GigE uplink.
HP offers CX4->Multi-Mode Fiber adapters for their ProCurve gear for less than $1000/each. This would be fine, but the problem is the CX4 adapters aren't coming out of HP/ProCurve gear. I can't seem to find non-ProCurve adapters.

Edit II: chris's answer set me straight on SFP+ (for unknown reasons, I'd confused it with 10GBASE-T in my mind). I'm still hoping for a pointer at CX4->MMF converters, however, since one or two 10GigE uplinks through SFP+ won't be enough long-term -- I'm looking to eventually push close to 30gbps out per chassis.
I'm involved in a project that will involve encoding H.264 video from several sources for live, real-time transmission over the 'net, and it'd be nice to avoid having to dedicate an entire CPU-heavy server for every 1 or 2 sources.
Some searching for hardware H.264 encoders turned up cheap USB gadgets with their own custom software targeted at home use. Undoubtedly useful devices, but unfortunately this is a commercial application that needs reliability and the ability to "play well with others" (e.g. be integrated into an existing software stack without too many changes to said stack).
So... What kind hardware options are there for real-time H.264 encoding in a professional environment?
