Running Windows Server 2019 standard in a four node cluster. In the event viewer -> windows logs -> Application there are repeating entries.

The message is 'Windows Installer reconfigured the product.' followed by different application and products

There are hundreds of these messages - and there is no consistent delay between the group of entries.

Most of the Microsoft entries have the last part of the message read 'Installation success or error status: 0.'

Questions are -

1. Are these entries supposed to be there?
2. Why are they continuously re-configuring the software?
3. What can I do to resolve this possible problem?

I Need to change a network packet origination IP address if the destination IP is a particular address.

Here is my setup - i have a VM that is assigned three IP addresses, one data, one management and a third that is for external access.

The application works using the data IP address.

The application needs to make a call to a web service end point that resides outside the firewall.

The firewall only allows traffic out if the packet is originated from a specific IP address.

Using a test rig, I am able to send a packet out of the network using the external IP address the VM, so i know the firewall is working correctly.

Question restated - Is there a way to change the origination IP address in the packet if the destination IP address is a certain value?

If so, how would this be accomplished?

I would like to setup a MSMQ in a failover system.

I do not have a shared storage setup (hardware not available - budget), but i have three dl380 running windows server 2016.

I would like to setup failover with a quorum server.

is this setup possible?

I have several SCADA systems that are all static IP addressed system running on my network. I would like to out a small VPN Device (for lack of a better word) between the device and my network. The device will basically connect to a VPN system (sonicwall so far). The device should simply take the IP packets, and wrap them in a VPN wrapper and shoot it off on the network.

Does anyone know of such a small device?

I have a Windows Server 2012r2. And due to poor planning on my side, i did not allocate enough space for the my documents folder.

I have added a new hard drive in the system, now I would like to have all of my documents folder be saved or joined on the new E drive.

I thought there was a 'join directory' command, but i cannot remember the actual name.
