We have an on prem RRAS server that connects to an Azure Virtual Network that allows us to have an On Prem/Azure hybrid. My query is, if i was to provision a public IP address in azure, what would be the best way to route it to one of our on prem VMs through the site to site connection? I have had a look around and haven't seen any similar scenarios.

This would help me in a few ways

  • We have run out of public IPs locally and they are rather expensive from our provider
  • It would make it easier for developers to expose stuff to the outside world for our lab environment

Our labs exchange server has stopped working. Webmail is fine, but when a user tries to connect a new outlook client the get the following message

The connection to Microsoft Exchange is unavailable. Outlook must be online or connected to complete this action.

The same computer can access webmail on the same exchange server just fine and send/receive emails.

I have tried..

  1. Rebooting the exchange server
  2. Ensured all services are running
  3. Manually specifying the exchange server by IP in the connections screen in Outlook.

Has anyone come across this before?

I need to be able to store many azure subscriptions and load them when needed.

I have saved the profile with...

Save-AzureRmProfile -Path 'C:\Temp\profile.json'

Then i can load it with

Select-AzureRmProfile -Path 'C:\Temp\profile.json'

The after a few days the token expires and i can no longer load the subscription

Your Azure credentials have not been set up or have expired

Whats the best way to store subscriptions for Resource Manager?

If we own www.ourdomain.com and wanted to rewrite the url to say www.google.com, how would we deal with gzip compression on say the google domain. I'm trying to do a proof of concept and i believe the issue is the website we are trying to rewite to uses gzip so IIS cant read the content? I have disabled all compression on our side. DO we need some sort of precondition?
