What's the best way to move c:\users to d:\users under vista/W7

I've googled this and found several multi-step/regedit ways of moving the Users' directory. Is there not a simple way (like in WinXP) to move them? Am I really going to have to muck around in the registry to accomplish this?

We did a server move a while back and ever since then we have been having a weird "error" happen repeatedly. In a nutshell, when you first request connection (via VS.NET, TFS Admin Console or Web Site) it fails with a DB timeout. Then, just hit refresh and everything is working fine. I looked in the Service logs and found this:

It is driving me nuts and I am wondering if anyone else has run into this behavior. I've checked everything I would normally check and nothing is fixing this behavior. Any ideas?

NOTE: I am in trying to add a new team project collection in the TFS Admin Console -> [MachineName]/Application Teir/Team Project Collections. Nothing is listing in the Admin Console and it is perpetually in "Loading..." mode. WTF?

We have a TFS2010 install on a Win2008R2 Server running IIS7. I've created a host header for TFS and want to use that instead of machineName:8080. I am getting weird behavior from it now. Every other time I log in I get:

TF31002: Unable to connect to this Team Foundation Server: http://web2/tfs. Team Foundation Server Url: http://web2/tfs. Possible reasons for failure include: - The name, port number, or protocol for the Team Foundation Server is incorrect. - The Team Foundation Server is offline. - The password has expired or is incorrect. Technical information (for administrator): The request failed with HTTP status 404: Not Found.

I force a reconnect and voila - there it is. Also, connecting to the web site rarely works but connecting via VS2010 works 50% of the time.

What do I need to change to stabilize this?

I am not sure how to interpret it. Looks like a 404 followed by a 200, or a 401, 404...

I installed new boxes at the beginning of the week. 1) Web Server on Win2008 x64, IIS 7 + all updates 2) DB Server on Win2008 x64, SQL 2008 Ent + all updates

I configured my websites, set up host headers and DNS entries, worked through some problems on my handlers and finally got it all running Wednesday morning. Our team has been using it since then. This morning I came in and everyone of us is getting a 500 error.

I’ve gone through the KB articles, made sure IIS_IUSRS had read permissions and am now stumped. What bothers me is IIS is looking in \?\C:\ instead of just C:. What is happening?

NOTE:
I've gone through and reconfigured everything on my web site. AppPool is using NetworkServices. NetworkServices has been granted R/W permissions on all directories at the web root on down. I've restarted my web site as well as issuing an IISRESET. I am now getting a 401.3 error when I go to the URL with no page (http://dev.rivworks.com/). If I put a page in there - including what is already listed as the default page in IIS settings (http://dev.rivworks.com/default.aspx) - it works but CSS does not render. This is true wether I am directly on the server or on any client machine within our network. I am seriously stumped at the moment.

I just upgraded our web server with a renewed cert as our current cert expires later this week. When I browse to our site via FF it is throwing this error:

Secure Connection Failed 
An error occurred during a connection to www.rivworks.com. 
Peer's Certificate has been revoked. (Error code: sec_error_revoked_certificate)
            *   The page you are trying to view can not be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified.
            *   Please contact the web site owners to inform them of this problem. Alternatively, use the command found in the help menu to report this broken site.

When I try IE (v6 - v8) I do not get this error. I've searched this site, Bing and Google and am not finding a solution for this. If I had long hair I'd be pulling it out!

Any help is appreciated!

ADDITIONAL INFO:
After working the search engines over I have come to conclude this is a problem in FF and not with my cert. My cert issuer has been going through it with a fine tooth comb and every thing they can do shows all of my cert chain is in working order. FF just hates a renewed cert!

This leads to the solution this guy came up with here: http://www.wallpaperama.com/forums/installing-ssl-certificate-in-a-godaddy-dedicated-server-with-ispconfig-t7300.html. Unfortunately - it is for a UNIX server and I don't know how to translate UNIX to WINDOWS SERVER 2003.

Any help?

My manager ordered a new wild card cert for our website as our current is expiring in a few days. Now, I am stuck as I cannot figure out how to install it? It is a cert from GoDaddy.com. I have downloaded it to my server. Upon unzipping it I have a PB7 file (intermediate cert) and a CRT file.

I open IIS6, click Properties on the website I want to update (it already has the old SSL Cert on it). Click on the Directory Security tab then the Server Certificate... button.

Now, I am presented with the following options:

* Renew the current certificate - was done manually through GoDaddy and no pending renewal was ever issued.
* Remove the current certificate - does not sound right for us.
* Replace the current certificate - possible...
* Export the current certificate to a .pfx file
* Copy or move the current certificate to a remote server site

Now, when I choose the REPLACE option it presents me with a dialog of already installed certs!!! My new one is not in there.

What the heck do I do? Google/Bing is being of no help to me right now.

NOTE: I have since been on the phone with GoDaddy support. Working on a test server the only way we could figure this out was to remove the old cert then generate a request, rekey the cert on GoDadddy, download and install via IIS6. Is there not a way to do this without dropping SSL on a production server?
