I wish to have my flavors.me use my own domain, yet still wish to retain access to own_domain.com/blog
The way flavors.me works now is that I must have the DNS A record point at their IP. Which obviously will prevent me from still having access to own_domain.com/blog
Am posting this to gather some ideas. What ought to be the best way of solving this?
I am trying to stave off the need for a subdomain for the blog if I can help it.

I need to construct a NAT for certain machines within the network. Wish to do this with dvSwitch - as it seems the logical way of attacking the problem as in this scenario there's just under 30 hosts.
In order for the NAT'ed VM's to have access to the 'real' network. I am providing a 'router' VM, which will have access to the WAN/outside network, and also act as the DHCP server for the NAT'ed machines.
When the machines connected to the NAT interface and the router are on the same host, then they get an IP from the router VM, and work perfectly (routed outside).
Unfortunately machines on other Hosts that are connected to the dvSwitch do not get an IP and further tcpdump shows no network data getting through across the hosts within the dvSwitch.
Has anyone achieved a NAT solution using a dvSwitch before that they could share?!

With the vSphere client, if you delete any VM, and there were say boot ISO's in the same directory. They stay, as VS Client only purges VM-ware files. Although is there a way to get rid of the whole carcass? ISO's inclusive?

SYSTEM - Linux x86_64, Virtual Machine, running atop ESX4.0 on an IBM HS21 Blade
Linux DHCP Server, many Linux clients.
One Solaris client.
Some of the machines have their MAC addresses within the dhcpd.conf on the DHCPD server, and they all pick up the appropriate IPs.
The Solaris machine though, grabs one from the pool instead. Ignoring its MAC->IP assignment. Why?
Also, where is the dhcp lease file within Solaris, so that I could clear it - just to make sure.

Once there are several hundred adhoc machines being brought up, each with a unique name. Their hostname gets added to the DNS.
Then upon TTL expiring, will the DNS entry still be reachable, or if the host has been down for some-time, it [dns-entry] will be cleared?
What's the best way to manipulate these timeouts?

If, for example, you spend some time working on a named.conf, and then by mistake clear it and save it (thanks to vi), is there a saved copy of the named.conf in the running instance that I could grab?
The guest was swapping, after adding 100% memory reservation it continued to do so. After a restart - after some time not much changed.
How can a VM who's memory is 'reserved' be swapping?
Am looking at Puppet and Cfengine. Unfortunately neither can do Windows deployments.
Can you suggest some alternatives?

I have a directory with every package I require. Don't really want to go through several dozen files and manually invoke pkgadd for them.
Is there a way to automate this process or call pkgadd to have it install everything in the directory?
