I backup our servers using rsync like this
rsync -av --delete /mnt/backup backupserverIPadress::backupfolder > /mnt/logs/textfile.txt
It was working fine until 10 days ago. When I check on the output in textfile.txt I found building file list ... only
I am almost sure that there have been changes in the server in the last days.

How i can monitor Http hits using mrtg on linux server (RedHat) ? and what are the requirements for that process?
how i can make that every thing i put it in crontab is working? is there any logs for cron to see whether if worked successfully or not?
i've simple question . how i can customize the display of free or vmstat or top commands to display memory usage only because i want the result to draw it via MRTG .

I'm not sure if I remember when I installed red hat 5 on my server. So how I can be sure whether selinux is disabled or not?
I want to use rsync command between two computers and both of them have RedHat 5.3 , when I googled for way to make that, I discovered that I have to make public key between them to not prompt password when I use rsync command. What is the best way to get a public key and make rsync work perfectly.
Note: I followed many tutorials and I did not find authorized_keys (under /root/.ssh/). I found known hosts file.
