My setup is as follows:

• 100+ websites
• Each website has two host headers any.com and www.any.com
• Requests for www.any.com are redirected to any.com without changing protocol
• Some of these websites need SSL
• Requests for http://sslonly.com are redirected to https://sslonly.com
• I have a multiple domain (a.k.a. UCC/SAN) SSL certificate that allows up to 50 subject alternative names

My questions:

1. What is the best way to set up subject alternative names on the SSL certificate? Do I need to add both sslonly.com and www.sslonly.com or just sslonly.com?

2. What is the best way to set up the redirects?

If you try to create a user account on a computer and try to use the computer name for the user account name, you receive the following error message:

The user name may not be the same as the computer name computer name

This behavior occurs to prevent users from creating user names with the same user name as the computer's name. This check is made to prevent problems with programs that use NetBIOS name registrations, which can mistakenly use the 03 NetBIOS entry (registered in this case by the user), rather than the 20 NetBIOS entry, which represents the workstation's Server service. Such errors can prevent programs from working properly.

In our network computers are named after their users and the same usernames are used in active directory. e.g. John's computer name is JOHN and his Active Directory login name is FABRICAM\John. Does the article apply in this scenario? Should we expect "undesired behavior" during network activity because of this?

I plan to install PHP on a system running on AMD Opteron/Windows Server 2008/IIS7. According to the device manager the OS is a 64-bit Operating System. So which flavor of PHP should I install on it. If 64-bit PHP 5.3.x then will there be any gotchas? Or should I expect 32-bit PHP to run smoothly without any (performance) problems?

PS: in case you're wondering -- WPI sucked and did not work at all. It tried to download 32-bit/NTS version of PHP for Windows and failed repeatedly.

Wondering what is the right way to install a UCC certificate on IIS? I have to request a UCC certificate from GoDaddy that allows up to 5 host names. The certificate they will provide will be a single certificate. So I am wondering if I have to install this certificate one-by-one on 5 of the 100 websites running on the IIS server or is it OK to just install it on the default website.

Is it possible to block certain websites e.g. YouTube on all computers without having to configure something on each and every computer. I have access to WiFi router and the DSL router. Is there any setting on either hardware that allows me to do so?

P.S. I've checked the control panel of both devices but wasn't able to find out anything that might allow me to do that, or may be I was looking at wrong places.

Here is the information displayed by the wireless router (see end of post). The problem is that my netbook does not get any signals from the router if moved more than 3 feet (yup, three feet) away from the router. Please outline steps that I should try on the router and/or the netbook to improve signal strength on the netbook. A CAT5 connection to the router works perfectly but its not "portable".
