Team city publishes its artifacts to a dynamically changing URL-- the version and build number keeps incrementing.
How can I automate the download of such a file?
Does team city even have a feature that I'm not aware of for automatically moving artifacts from the build server's artifact repository to the staging/test server?
How do I change a domain controller to a non-domain controller? And more importantly, can it be done safely? Will this ultimately call for a repave of the machine?
I've found the dcpromo command, but wanted to get some feedback before I hose this machine.
Background. Someone set up this server by checking "all features" when installing. This server is a DNS server, Domain Controller, you name it. In practice it is use as a file share and build server.
We have an MS-Access DB on a file share. We're getting slow performance and error messages we suspect have to do with file access being so slow. What would be the first things to check to find out what the bottle neck is?
It works fine locally, so we're pretty sure it isn't the application itself.
My ASP.NET application needs to be able to write to the windows event log and read from the windows event log using WMI. I don't want the application account- currently NETWORK SERVICE, to be able to delete or modify event log entries.
Yeah, I konw that a malicious user would still be able to clear the event log by flooding it until it rolls over, but I can live with that.
EDIT: Another way to put the question-- is there any way I can have my app write to the windows event log (application, or custom log) and know the log entries weren't subsequently tampered with by the application that wrote the log entry?
EDIT: If the solution requires using something other than the default NETWORK SERVICE account to run asp.net, that's good too.
I'm doing a compare of my development server with production and find one has this:
EXEC sp_grantdbaccess N'guest'
How would anyone take advantage of the guest user in a connection string? It doesn't seem to be mapped to a logon. In pubs I see guest is a member of public. Guest doesn't seem to be deletable.
Is this some sort of anonymous access account or what? If this is a security problem, what do I do to fix it?
