When I restrict a user to logon to a specific PC (using the user account setting in AD - Account > log on to) it's affecting Outlook Web Access when the user tries to access his/her mailbox remotely and from their mobile devices. If I set it to log on to "All Computers" everything works well. Is there a work-around for this?

I am generating "Most Recently Accessed Files" nightly. Is it possible to add the computer name as a parameter i.e. to know from which pc was the file accessed from?
I have XP clients whereby I am setting up some remote desktop connections and saving the credentials and shortcut on the desktop. When the user double-clicks the shortcut, the connection is made to the server, however, they are being prompted with the login screen to enter username and password.
The XP clients and the Windows 2003 server are/is on the same LAN/Domain. In the rdp connection I am saving the username as domain\username. What could be causing this?
My exchange box went offline this AM. The logs show

I tried running
chkdsk D: /x /r
but that didn't help either. I went to the Exchange Manager and tried to move the .stm file from D: to C: but got

Inbound mail to a specific user is been forwarded to his external mailbox at another domain. Add mails are routed correctly with the exception of one domain. When mail are sent to users of my domain, including that user, the mails are delivered to everyone except him...as the mail admin I am getting the message

My company recently acquired another firm. I am thinking of bringing their mailboxes onto our email server (Exchange Server 2003).
I would prefer to make them a regular user in my current domain (mycompany.com) but have email addresses as theircompany.com
Edit ~ Also, how do I handle reverse lookup? Since I'll be pointing their MX to my current server email.mycompany.com, when they send emails as [email protected], would't it reverse to email.mycompany.com? Would this cause a problem for reverse lookup?
I have some users configured in Exchange 2003 (delivery options tab) to forward mails to their external address.
This was working fine until today. The mails are being held up in the SMTP queue folder. I am able telnet the addresses (e.g. google.com) at port 25 from the server. Any reason why the mails are held up? Other emails are going out. It's only the mailboxes configured to forward the mail out to the public email addresses.

I have a Windows 7 (32 bit) client where the print spooler service keeps stopping a few seconds after I restart it.
The event log doesn't provide any clear indication of the cause of the error. It only provides the following information:
The Print Spooler service terminated unexpectedly. It has done this x time(s).
I cannot find any information on this. I tried uninstalling whatever print driver was there. However this did not fix the issue.
I just rolled out a new domain controller. I want to join all the PCS to this new domein (the PCs were never on a domain just a regular workgroup). When I join a PC to the new domain it creates a new profile. How can I migrate (or whats an easy way) the local profile to this new domain profile?
Can I keep all settings, desktop layout, outlook 2003 settings etc while doing this?

Question - since I am restricted to this single server, would it be a big issue making the Hyper-V host the domain controller?

I dont seet the "Package Manager" under system administration. I only see the system monitor. How can I install this?
I need to recover deleted data from an SQL Server 2000 transaction log file. The Log file is 3.3GB. I tried the usual SQL Log Rescue but it keeps crashing with outOfMemory exception. I also tried it on different machines with the same error.
I tried ApexSQL Recover, seems to work, but it's a trial so only every 10th row is shown. I may have no choice but to shell out 999.00 for this tool, if I cannot find a cheaper solution.
Any ideas?
EDIT - If I try to restore from backup and then replay my log file, can I restore the backup to a different database (new) on the same server?
After installing the Office 2007 file converter on PCs running Office 2003 some work and some don't. The error I am getting is the same as this person here. I also logged on as admin and after re-installing, it works under admin but not as user.

How can I restrict a user from sending to a specific external email address? I am running exchange server 2003 SP1. I am not sure if this is possible.
My network design is hub and spoke, all offices connected to HQ. Each office has a backup domain controller which replicates with my PDC. All DCs are running Windows Server 2003. I plan on upgrading my PDC to Windows 2003 R2 and then to Windows Server 2008. Do I need to upgrade all the other DCs at the same time? If I upgrade to WS2K R2 only, can I upgrade the others at a later date?
Is there any free (reliable....yes I know..) disk partition software for Windows Server? I am checking before I do make a purchase. I just need to resize a disk.
Edit ~ I have a windows server 2003 Raid 5 with 2 partitions "C" and "D". I need to resize "C" by taking some space from "D". The "D" has 100GB extra and "C" is running out of space.
Can I run small business server as a RODC? My site design is hub and spoke. I want to place a domain controller at the small offices. I am tight on budget so my offices will have one server which should function as domain controller and file server. Can I accomplish this with small business server?
