In Win2003, how can I trace who delete or modify a file?

I've changed, with regedit, the storage location from C:\WINDOWS\system32\config\AppEvent.Evt to somewhere else.

After restarting computer, it seems it doesn't work out - Event Log still adopts original location to store the log fie.

Any step I neglected to achive this?

As title said, I can what tool to read .evt file.

If I install a hotfix like "http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?id=927579", is there any risk like something existing will be overriden or rolled back?

rows           reserved    data         index_size  unused

I create an noncluster index with a column of numeric(18, 0) that is 9 bytes in size; then the index_size turns into 153064 KB.

How is the # calculated?
